Professor Snape looked ready to magically explode from rage. Oh he knew that House Slytherin was currently below historical quality levels; that was unavoidable thanks to the Dark Lord. However, he was pissed at the thought that HIS house could be labeled cowardly and amoral. The fact that all of his promising students were looking at bolting for this new fifth house made him infuriated. If those students left, he'd be stuck with the snot nosed infuriating idiots! Seeing his students getting up Snape called out, "What do you mean by Slytherin's soul leaving? And just who is this Saotome person that he should rate having a house in this institution?"
The Sorting Hat floated off of Kodachi's head and spun around to 'face' the Professor table. It then started to speak in an annoyed tone. "Listen you vampire wannabe, I have had it up to the Astronomy Tower with you dumb wizards insulting the Founders and completely twisting around what they stood for! For the past 1000 years I've had to keep silent due to my magic normally only being used for sorting first years. Now that some changes have happened because of evoking ancient magic, I can finally give you a piece of my mind. So, you all are going to SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO WHAT I HAVE TO SAY!!!!!"
Everyone in the great hall rocked back in fear and shock. Without giving them any heed, the Sorting Hat spoke. "The biggest thing that pisses me off is this 'Slytherin was a dark wizard who hated muggleborn' garbage that has been floating around for several centuries. Guess what geniuses, ALL of the Founders were 'Dark Wizards' by your standards today. The simple fact is that they lived in a rough time, this school is in a castle for a reason, and thus played rough in return. As for muggleborn, Slytherin's only beef with them was that they were a security risk for wizards due to muggle attacks. Remember folks, our world is hidden because the muggles nearly drove us to extinction in the Dark Ages. It was Slytherin's stance that muggleborn should be taken from their parents as soon as discovered and made wards of wizard couples. That is it."
Draco shouted out in disbelief. "That's not true! Slytherin didn't want our world to be sullied by the mudbloods. All of historical texts and traditions clearly show this to be true."
Kodachi became certain that Ranma was closely tied into Hogwarts somehow when the Sorting Hat unwound some thread and made an outline of the finger at Draco. Only Ranma and the chaos that surrounded him could have allowed such a shocking and bizarre thing like that to occur. The hat snorted and replied, "Look steer, I know you've got some breeding problems but please try not to let them show. Those documents and traditions you speak about were created in the early 1500s by a group of dark wizards who graduated from House Slytherin and wanted some legitimacy for their anti-muggleborn views. No one bothered to check with me, the artifact that actually knew Slytherin if this was true."
"After that debacle, Slytherin's soul got so pissed that he first came back as Oliver Cromwell." Gasps of horror came from all of the purebloods and many halfbloods. The Sorting Hat continued on, "That's right folks, the idol of all modern dark lords chose to be reborn as Oliver the Bloody. For you muggleborns, the Lord Protector of England is the most feared and detested muggle in British Wizard history for having wiped out 70 percent of the pureblood population. Please note that most of those 'upstanding' citizens he killed were Dark Wizards and Witches by current standards."
"When that incarnation died, Slytherin was seriously pissed to find out that people still viewed him as a Dark Lord and the founding father of blood supremacy. Since then, he has had his soul constantly reborn as a muggle in East Asia in order to stay as far away from European wizards as he could. Of course, certain traits always identify him even if he never lets his current incarnation remember the past while he is alive. For example, every incarnation of Slytherin is determined to be the best in their field and always has to deal with too much attention from the ladies."
