SNAFU: Pull the other one [Episode 25249]

The various girls looked even less happy.

"Not buying that one either, eh?" Nabiki noticed.

Shampoo looked up from where she was sharpening her sword. "No."

"Akane's been seen since Ranma's disappearance," said Ukyo.

"All right, all right," said Nabiki. "I didn't want to cut right to it because it was too unbelievable. I couldn't believe it when I first heard about it."

"This better not be more waste of time," said Shampoo, checking the edge of the aforementioned sword. Not that she was making a subtle threat. Shampoo didn't understand subtle after all.

"It's not," said Nabiki. "Ranma's disappearance was caused by:

• a magical princess kidnapped him. After all the times a magical prince kidnapped Akane it was bound to happen."
• a magical prince kidnapped Ranma-chan. Akane has been in denial about it ever since. You know what her pride is like."
• well, none of you have seen Kasumi since Ranma vanished. So he's..."
• his father and my father in yet another one of their idiotic schemes to get Ranma and Akane to confess their true feelings, etcetera, blah blah blah. Naturally it did not have the effect they were aiming for."
• he and Akane had a fight. He stalked off, saying that he hadn't asked for any of this mess and was going far far away."
• something else. But I have pictures!"
• Akane actually has eloped with Ranma, this is just Nabiki's plan to have the other fiancees running in circles.
