Ronri looked at his brother, who was hovering twelve feet away. Ranma had a big smile on his face, mirroring the small grin Ronri was sprouting.
Midair combat was a specialty of the Saotome School, but for the twins it was more. With Ronri's continuing inability to make his Kryptinian powers work against Ranma's mystic tricks, mid air was where the two brothers came closest to being equals.
"Haahh!" Ranma called, his aura flaring as he shot toward his brother.
Ronri flew back and to one side, Ranma arced his flight path in compensation. With a grin, Ronri shot up and forward, coming in toward his brother's back. Ranma instantly rotated up to attack, but Ronri extended his arc and successfully landed a weak blow to the back of Ranma's shoulder. Then just managed to pull back before Ranma's counter blow could land.
Ranma struck again, then accelerated his thrusts as Ronri floated downward, blocking more often than dodging. Then he saw a small grin on Ronri's face, an instant before Ronri changed his block slightly, redirecting Ranma's energy to hurl him into the spring below.
'Damn, he figured it out.' As Ranma shot into the spring below he recalled the time he had thought up that technique and used it on Ronri. 'Of course, my brother always has to figure out some sort of improvement before he'll use it back at me.' he thought.
Then he hit the water. And suddenly he found himself very distracted. His innate mystic sensitivity had shown him Jusenkyo's magic in the form of a glow infusing the water. Now that he had landed in the magic water, that sensitivity let him feel the magic. And the feeling was closely akin to a fairly bad poison ivy rash that was covering every inch of his body, and soaking inward. A moment later the feeling was much less severe, but as he surfaced, he knew that something was wrong even before he saw the others staring, or felt how most of his body had shrunk except for the two large breasts that now occupied his chest.
"Oh dear, you fall in Nyanichuan- Spring of drowned Girl." The guide commented. "Very tragic story of girl who drown in spring one thousand five hundred year ago. Legend say whoever fall in spring take body of young girl."
Ronri dropped down toward Ranma, trying not to stare at what had happened. "Um, are you ok, Ranma?"
Ranma's head snapped up at Ronri, "Ok? Here's a hint!" His hands suddenly started moving in the spring, whipping the water into motion. "HYDRO-CANNON!" he screamed, sending a torrent of water through the air to slam into Ronri. A second later he shot from the spring and struck at his now female twin, aura blazing.
Below Genma looked his two former sons worriedly. At the back of his mind was the fear of Nodoka's reaction, but he felt a great deal more worried in the here and now. Both were looking angrier than he had ever seen them their entire lives. 'If they aren't stopped right away it'll get bad.' Genma realized. Casting for some way to stop his children's fight, he remembered the secret techniques he had long ago sealed. 'No choice,' he thought as he dropped his backpack, pulling a blanket from it a moment before he leaped toward the point where the pair was about to clash again.
Ranma and Ronri both shot toward each other, lashing out with a dozen punches and kicks each. However instead of hitting each other the blows slammed into the folded over cloth that Genma slipped between them a moment before they had struck. The had a second to recognize the blanket and their father, before Genma twisted the blanket, causing it to expand slamming into both with the force of all their blows combined.
Ranma and Ronri both slammed into the ground a second before Genma landed between them. "Cool it, you two! Before you go off, get all the facts!" He pivoted toward the guide. "You! What's with the spring?"
The Guide swallowed nervously, then replied. "Ah, you heard tragic story of young girl, whoever fall in take body of girl, Hot water turn back to regular body, cold water make girl again."
"OK! Good, it's counterable! Now, is there a way to remove the curse altogether?" Genma asked, as his two children rose and walked to each side of him, looking at the guide.
"Errrr," The guide started, sweat pouring down his face. "There spring that cures, but must wait. When peoples fall into two springs within month each dip, bad things happen to them."
