The evening ended rather awkwardly as Ryu and Sakura interrogated Morrgian about everything. The next morning didn't seem to hold much promise for order either. However, Kiyone was glad for the reprieve from formality. It allowed her to learn a bit about her suitor without chained to protocol. It also allowed for her to sneak off with water and a few loves of bread. Kiyone could see why she picked the Sakura. As Chun-li said, the girl had a definite untapped talent just waiting to be harnessed. She just needed a bit more experience beyond street fighting. Kiyone eyed the girl and decided she was very pretty in a girl next door way. Something told her with a change of attitude she would look every but the princess the others did. She sipped her water bottle as she watched the sun rise over the lake. The chance to watch the sunrise like this almost made her assignment tolerable.
The detective pondered the answers she had gotten from both Chun-li and Sakura. Part of her worried about the choice she was about to make. She wondered if she could still work for GP. Maternity leave withstanding she wouldn’t exactly be Moriquendi any longer. That brought up her next question, would the ritual even work on her. Despite appearances she wasn't human. Moriquendi were similar on the surface, in fact a lot of races were similar on the surface but when you started to look deeper things could be vastly different.
“Hi.” A nervous voice joined her away from the house.
Kiyone turned to see Seras. The young blond was no longer clad in the elaborate robes she arrived in but in a loose t-shirt and a pair of pants. The tank top shifted in ways that offered teasing glimpses of her breasts while the loose pants seemed hung in a way that just barely covered everything. “Seras right?”
“That's me.” Seras smiled at her host. “I don't exactly like parties.”
Kiyone gave the succubus an odd look. “Breakfast can be a bit of a circus around here.”
“I know.” Seras blushed. “I'm still getting used to all this.”
She gave the girl a comforting smile. “Change can be difficult. So lets focus on the good. Whats the best part of being a succubus?”
Seras smiled as she looked out over the lake. “Chun-li is like a big sister.” She blushed brighter as the word sister seemed very wrong given the nature of their relationship. “Not that... I um... she's been really good to me.”
“Ah...” Kiyone drew her own conclusions. She did note that the girl seemed even cuter as she grew more embarrassed. She also seemed so young, but Kiyone knew most virgins were. “What else is there to look forward to.”
“Well you can make your own clothes if you concentrate.” Seras shifted a bit. “I need a bit of work to make mine, better.”
She laughed a bit as the sex demon tried to cover herself better. “I bet that is a handy trick once you get it right. Was that dress yours?”
“My sisters helped me with it.” Seras relaxed a bit as she remembered the dress. “I never thought I'd get to wear something that pretty.”
Kiyone laughed as the absurd amount of money Morrigan offered came to mind. “Must be a big change knowing you're going from a career as a police officer to duchess of a realm.”
Seras looked at her oddly. “I don't think I'm part of that. I mean, me a dutchess, I'm just an orphan from Cheddar.” The blond succubus did her best to change the topic. “I bet you have a big family.”
“A big annoying family.” Kiyone sipped on her bottle again. “My uncle has been around some where. I expect a few more to show up by the end of the week, if only to make things more embarrassing.”
Seras smiled but didn't comment. She knew families could be complicated at times. “So what happens today?”
“Typically I'm supposed to talk to you.” Kiyone smiled as she ate her breakfast. “Last night was to be the test of strength. You're supposed to challenge me to a battle of wits. There's a few traditional games we can play or we can play an earth game if you want.”
Seras became rather nervous at the subject. “Oh, that sounds fun. What did you have in mind?”
Kiyone laughed at the nervous girl. “Something easy, I've been thinking far too much.”
Before the two could figure out Seras' challenge the two were interrupted by her Uncle. “My sister in-law wishes to speak with you Kiyone.”
“We are aware of your objections to the arrangement and we have decided to offer Queen Aesland another choice.” Kiyone looked at Morrigan and then at the image of her aunt. She grit her teeth as the woman keep speaking. “Lin is a graduate of the Academy of Arts and Heritage she ranked in the top three of her class. She is well versed in all manners domestic. She's even willing to forgo a greeting gift seeing as how you have already paid one to our house.”
Morrigan raised an eyebrow to the offer and smiled. She appraised the pretty girl on the screen and got the feeling that she was very much not up to the task. “Such an arrangement could be interesting.”
Ayeka however nearly growled out, “This is most improper!” Kiyone blinked as the normally refined aristocrat came to her defense.
“Now, now.” Morrigan put her head on the princesses shoulder. “If the Makibi clan thinks they have a better match then by all means let them present her to me.” Morrigan inwardly smiled as Kiyone's face twitched a bit. Any reaction out of her could only be a good sign at this point.
Kiyone slammed her hand down on the end call button. Her hand cracking the interface as she grit her teeth. She glared at her uncle. “This is supposed to be my omai!”
The normally calm uncle winced as he watched the crack marks expand across the panel. “I'm sure she just thought...”
“Lin is a gold digging tramp! The only thing AAH is good for is getting an MRS!” Kiyone glared at her mother's brother as she started to pace. “I might not have liked this but I'm not letting that floozie make me look like some half assed side dish.”
Morrigan smiled as she felt the emotions rolling off of the normally calm woman. With a calming voice she stated, “Well we could always do this another...”
“No!” Kiyone shook her head as she turned to her suitor. “I am not spending another week in a bath with those two.”
Morrigan blinked as she was shouted down. “I'm not one to...”
“This is my wedding and I am not going to let anybody screw it up anymore!” The assembled group blinked as Kiyone slowly morphed into bride-zilla. “You two are going to make sure the cleansing water ceremony happens precisely at noon today!” Seras and Ryoko blinked as they were singled out. “You two are going to make sure the feast of welcoming happens precisely at seven thirty!” Sasami and Setsuna flinched as her gaze hit them. “And you old man... if your temple isn't ready to have a proper wedding at dawn there will be consequences.” Yosho did his best not to crumple under Kiyone's harsh glare.
Morrigan looked at the woman almost nervously. Kiyone moved in close and quietly whispered. Her finger grabbed Morrigan's ear. “You better take care of what ever we need for that orgy.” The Queen of the Makai stood very still as brid-zilla cornered her. She gave it a little squeeze. “That does not include Tenchi, Ryoko, Ayeka or Mihoshi.”
