"You can't do that, we're supposed to wait HERE!" said Sakura, frowning at the idiot.
"I'm gonna work on my skills," said Naruto. "Though I was kind of disappointed when my summons ran off."
"You had a summons? And it LEFT you?" asked Sakura, thinking that if Naruto DID have a summons - having one go off and abandon him DID sound plausible.
"Yeah, guy was supposed to teach me some taijutsu but then one of the chunin mentioned the Land Of Hot Springs and he was off," said Naruto.
"Come back here and sit down!" demanded Sakura as Naruto went towards the doorway.
"Come on, Snivy," said Naruto to something green that moved rapidly from the window to rest on his shoulder.
"Honestly, Sasuke, he's so immature," began Sakura, thinking that a benefit of Naruto leaving was she had time alone with Sasuke.
Sasuke sighed and brooded even more heavily as Sakura began to chatter about some inane things.
Then she brought up how Naruto was pathetic because he didn't have any parents, and Sasuke switched from brooding to annoyed.
He was the Batman. Brooding dark avenger of the Justice League.
The Houndour was Bat-hound. Who, unlike many of his various protege that he'd trained over the years, didn't spend a lot of time arguing or having to be shown things.
The lack of hands was a little more difficult to deal with.
On the other hand, Bat-hound was very capable in other regards. Batman found himself quite amused when Bat-hound's teeth proved to be quite capable of grabbing and tearing Killer Croc's skin. Killer Croc, as might be expected, was considerably less amused.
Oh, and the Thunder Fang attack. That was amusing too.
Not that he was inclined towards cutesy animal partners though. Heaven forbid. He was just making use of an available tool.
"YEOWTCH! GETTITOFF!"
Though even dark avenging knights of Gotham City could find the picture of Poison Ivy panicking with a dog holding onto her leg with its teeth, just exerting enough pressure to make it known how badly it could go for her - somewhat amusing.
"He's immune to your pheromones, by the way," said the Batman casually. "In fact, as the Joker found out, he's immune or resistant to a lot of poisons - taking only minor damage which he can heal from. On the other hand, did you know he could breathe flames hot enough to burn through a warehouse door?"
Poison Ivy looked down at the dog which had her leg trapped. "Nice doggie?"
After Ivy was arrested, Houndour evolved to Houndoom.
Snivy was the little lizard-like creature which had followed him around for several worlds. Not that it had been alone in that regard as they'd had a small crowd following them. He'd managed to leave some behind in several of the worlds though, or they'd gravitated to others.
Which was why Naruto only had three associating with him at the moment. Snivy being the one that spent most of its time sunning itself. It was also green and have leaf-shaped parts, which made it a natural for the Leaf Village in Naruto's opinion.
