"We shall begin then," said Pein.
"There are some insects coming, are we prepared for them?" asked Zetsu.
"We've left something for them," said Itachi.
"Good," said Pein.
"Oh, presents? I love presents!" said Tobi.
"Yeah," said Kisame. "We left them some NICE presents."
"WULD NAH KEST!" shouted Naruto and Kurama.
Their paths intersected at the spot Kisame had just drawn his sword. Kisame... came apart.
"What was that?" asked Rock Lee.
"A Shout," said Naruto, shrugging. "We're not as good as Ranma at that stuff."
"At just about anything, you're not as good," said Kurama.
"Hey now," complained Naruto. "Remember the time you fought him? Or the time you fought Goku?"
"Meh," said Kurama, making a throw-away gesture. "Just wait till the rematch."
"He'd still kick your butt seven ways to Sunday," said Naruto.
"I still don't understand that expression," said Kurama, snarling slightly. "Nor do I agree with the sentiment."
"While you guys are arguing, we could be moving," pointed out Tenten.
"Oh, right," said Naruto, leaping into motion again.

Being better than Goku at anything combat-related was something to take a certain degree of pride in.
He was also faster than Goku, but Goku wasn't a slouch and was stronger. Ranma consoled himself in having better control and technique, but Goku was always edging up behind him. Of course, everyone else had a different opinion - not that Ranma was biased or anything.
As Ranma sailed off across the city, he considered what he wanted to do next.
He looked a lot younger than he had the first time returning from Jusenkyo, so even if he showed up at the Tendo place and announced who he was - he'd be considered too young to marry. Heh. Though if he recalled correctly from the last time, and he was sure he did, once he hit fifteen he'd hit a growth spurt and look the appropriate age.
Maybe...
