Sasuke's eyes opened a bit more than usual and he moved AWAY rapidly.
He did, however, get an excellent view as it briefly looked as if Sakura was liquified and sucked into the book.
As she screamed all the way and the diminishing wail was heard after she'd completely vanished, Sasuke was betting that the team kunoichi was NOT dead. Or even in pain as that had been a terrified scream and not the sort of thing he'd have expected if the process had involved a lot of pain.
"Wha-what happened?" asked Naruto, staring at the book and then at the pile of clothes.
"Apparently your book has traps to make sure no one unauthorized gets ahold of it," noted Sasuke who was NOT going near the book. Though he realized that handling the book was probably safe. It wasn't until Sakura had been actively trying to decipher its secrets that the trap went off.
How to get That Man to try and do such? Something to consider, after they figured out exactly what happened to Sakura.
"You know, if I pick up her clothes, she'll most likely clobber me."
Sasuke nodded. He could certainly see that happening.
"So I pick up the book, you pick up the clothes?"
Sasuke considered that. If he picked up the clothes would she draw some insane fangirlish conclusion? Most likely. "No."
"No?" asked Naruto.
"Nope. This is your problem. Deal with it," said Sasuke. One didn't need an active Sharingan to see that this was going to be... what was that word that pineapple-haired kid was always using? Oh yeah. Troublesome.
"So, Sakura tried to read Naruto's book despite protests from Naruto, and got sucked into the book?" asked Kakashi. "More paperwork."
"Well, true I guess, but what do we do now?" asked Naruto.
"Have you looked for Sakura in the book?" asked Kakashi.
"Huh," said Naruto, opening the book and going through it.
