Being liquified and drawn through a hole about as wide as her pinkie finger sucked even more.
Ending up whole and intact on the other side of whatever that was - that part would have actually been okay. Except for not having any of her equipment, clothing, or anything else she could possibly use to get back.
"I just had to try and impress Sasuke," said Sakura, looking up at the red flickering sky from where she was sprawled out. "That never works out."
"True."
Sakura didn't leap to her feet, drawing a kunai, and prepared to fight mainly because:
A) She didn't have a kunai.
B) She was naked. Despite being a genin kunoichi she really wasn't all that comfortable with the idea of running around in front of strangers without a stitch on.
C) She really didn't feel 100% certain on the whole up/down thing just yet.
"Well well well. When I interrupted that dimensional transport, I hardly expected some child."
Sakura frowned and started putting things together, closing her eyes to better concentrate. Let's see, red sky that shifts in coloration in some odd pattern. Doesn't look completely random, but analyze that part later. I'm lying on a stone floor, completely flat. The air feels dry, dessicated even. I can hear a wind blowing, what sounds like dust or sand sliding against a wall? No breeze blowing up against me though. That voice said 'dimensional transport' so... Naruto's book was trapped against unauthorized access? And that was supposed to send the trespasser somewhere, except that voice said something about 'interrupting' it. So I'm not where that trap was supposed to send me.
Sakura went over her knowledge about 'other worlds' but that wasn't terribly much. They only touched on the subject of other worlds briefly in the Academy during a discussion of Sealcraft (Fuuinjutsu) and some of the higher end effects that were supposed to be possible. So, this may be one of the other worlds that are theoretically possible. Most likely the trap would have thrown me into the realm the dragons came from, so this would be somewhere between that realm and the world I came from.
Sakura frowned. What was that voice? It didn't sound right. Like I wasn't hearing it with my ears, or not quite.
Slowly, dreading what she would see, Sakura opened her eyes.
"Okay, y'all, I done found Pinkie," said Mushu. "The problem is that she did NOT end up in the realm of dragons."
"Oh, is that where she was supposed to go?" asked Kakashi.
"Yeah, go figure," said Mushu. "Someone gets into Naruto here's stuff, triggers the trap, and ends up dealing with some of the higher end dragons. Then they's can make a decision whether to eat the intruder or turn 'em into toilet paper or just give 'em a figurative smack on the behind."
"That makes sense," said Kakashi, closing his book. "So where is she?"
"Uhm, see, that's kinda the problem," said Mushu.
