Opening credits were played and a chastised Naruto sat away from the television after a fist waving Sakura warned him to only watch at a distance and in a well lit room.
July 23 - Fugaku Uchiha looked contentedly at his wife, Mikoto, as she held a small bundle with a mop of dark hair sticking out of it. She turned to him and said,
“I want to name him Naruto.” Mikoto smiled at his confusion. “Kushina lent me a book she was reading called Tale of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi. She said it's Minato's favorite book. The plot was a little thin, but I loved the way the main character never gave up no matter what challenges he faced. The main character's name was Naruto and I want our Naruto to grow up with that same attitude!” At the moment he could deny his wife nothing and hugged her and the newly christened 'Naruto'.
Oct 10 - At the house of the 4th Hokage a small baby is held with blond hair. A rumble shakes the room from a distant explosion.
“You're going to help me save this village. I'm just sorry I won't be there for you, but you will be known as a hero of the village and do great things. Yes, great things my little Sasuke.” The blond Hokage jumped toward the sounds of battle while muttering that he couldn't recall that name being on the list of choices. Not that it wasn't a good name as it was the name of the Third Hokage's father, but he had tried to push for the name of his Sensei's main character from his first book. He cleared his head as he focused on getting to the battle. Kurama needed to be resealed and Sasuke would need the strength if he was ever going to face Tobi.

Naurto Uchiha bounced all around the room with all the unrestrained energy that only a six year old could generate.
“My goodness,” his mother said as she caught him and pulled him to a hug, “your brother is going to be back soon and you're going to be too tired to greet him then.” Mikoto looked into his eyes and sighed with motherly concern. His eyes were a dark blue with wider than normal irises that made him look absolutely adorable. The doctors assured her that his eyes were fine, but they weren't sure if he could manifest the sharingan or what affect the odd shaped irises might have on their ocular bloodline if it did activate.
She smiled as she tried to smooth out his dark spiky hair, but it defied gravity as it sprung back into shape again. Naruto heard the front door open and he wiggled out of his mother's hug and ran for the door. Itachi Uchiha opened the door and held his arms out with anticipation as Naruto jumped into his arms.
“Hi big brother. Welcome back. Were you successful? Did you win any big fights? Did you bring me anything?”
Itachi laughed as he shook his head and replied, “Yes. No. It was a simply courier mission and kinda.”
“What do you mean ‘kinda’?” Naruto demanded of his brother. He reached into his pouch and pulled out a plaster mold that sparkled in dimness of their home.
“I saw this black cat and I started stalking it to get a paw print like I normally do, but it vanished from my sight just as I had mixed the plaster together. Not ran away, or unsummoned but just faded. I was about to throw out the mold when I heard a laugh and I felt something push on it. I looked down and this was on it.” His brother turned the mold and it had two large perfect glowing paw prints with printed words inside each. The left print had 'Don't Worry' and the right one had' Be Happy'.
“Wow, that's really a cool one big brother,” Naruto said as he reached for the mold. Their mother quickly took the plaster from Itachi's hands and inspected it by the window. Naruto jumped down and ran over to his mother. He flittered around trying to get another look at it. To his disappointment, she placed it high on a shelf and said,
“That's an interesting story Itachi. Why we don't you show your father this. I'm sure he'll want to look at too.” She did a double take and looked again at the shelf. “I thought I lost this brush. I swear it wasn't there before. I wonder how it got on the shelf.”
“But Mom,” Naruto protested over his Mom's rediscovered brush, “I wanted to add it to our collection. I know just the spot for such a shiny one too!”
“I know dear, but I just put it there so we won't forget to show him.”
“I won't forget. I'm a big boy!”
“Big boys need a snack to keep growing,” she laughed, “I have some rice balls just for big boys!”
“Yea!” he called as he succumbed to call of food and pulled his brother into the kitchen.
