"What does 'Freeze' let you do?" asked Sasuke finally.
"Freeze water into ice, to some extent control ice," said Naruto. "Generate and shape ice."
"Demonstrate," suggested Sasuke.
"Yeah, we'll need more details if..." Sakura's voice trailed off as Naruto activated his newest card and did something.
Now holding a javelin made of ice, Naruto grinned at them. "As long as there's nearby water to draw from, I can make simple objects. Or use Freeze plus Mirror to make -"
An ice statue formed, then shifted appearance slightly.
"That's not the fish," pointed out Sakura.
"No, I am not," said the woman whose voice somehow sounded as soft as fresh snow falling.
"A yuki-onna," said Naruto. "Who can act independently as long as I can feed the chakra in."
"Hello, Freeze card, thank you for your future assistance," said Sakura, bowing slightly as there wasn't any reason to be impolite after all.
The ice woman bowed slightly in return, the ghost of a smile on her face, before she dissolved in a streamer of snowflakes that vanished in the breeze.
"Define 'simple objects'," prompted Sasuke.
Naruto thought a bit, calling the information up from whatever connection he had to the cards. "Ramps, walls, slicking floors with an ice coating, bridges, clubs. Depends on how much water I can draw on and how much chakra I got."
Sasuke blinked and looked at Sakura.
Sakura smiled. "Oh yeah. I think we can really make use of this."
Someone politely clapped nearby.
The Fight Card landed on the street a moment later. "You've been working on your teamwork."
"Well, yeah," admitted Naruto.
"So you can use Mirror now to form a human clone-body for one of the other cards," mused Sakura out loud. "That means that when we need it, we can get a temporary fourth member of our team. That could be handy. More chakra efficient?"
"Uhm, yeah," said Naruto after thinking about it. "I think I 'unlocked' the ability by having this many cards. I wonder if that means..."
"So, does that mean you're ready for this week's challenge?" asked Ranma, settling into a stance.
"Can I ask you something?" asked Naruto. "Can you not be a girl for this?"
"Eh? Why?" asked Ranma. "It make that much of a difference?"
"It could," admitted Naruto.
"Okay," said the Fight. "Only thing is, I can't go back to a form and personality that I've dropped."
"Yeah, it's just that if we fight in the open - people see me trying to beat up a girl shorter than me, if not by much, and that could be bad," said Naruto.
"Humans don't make a lot of sense to me at times," said the Fight. Still, she shrugged and began to glow - shifting into:
