"Well, it's kinda different since I graduated," admitted Naruto. "I want people to notice me, but..." Naruto's voice trailed off.
Sakura blinked, then began scrutinizing Naruto. He didn't LOOK any different. Had he been switched out with some foreign nin?
Sasuke snorted. In another world, another time, he wouldn't have cared. In this world, this time, Naruto's card-fuuinjutsu allowed him to support his team and contribute. Make Sasuke stronger for when it came time to fight That Man? Why yes, yes this could definitely fit into that. "Sakura. Naruto has tasted something he has never had and now wants more. Can you blame him?"
"Huh?" asked Sakura. "What?"
Sasuke regarded Naruto, knowing that Naruto wasn't going to be particularly skilled at putting things into words, and simply said it. "Respect. He's beginning to earn that. And you like it, don't you, dobe?"
Naruto blinked, turning that concept over in his head. After a moment he nodded. "Yeah. Yeah. I think so."
"Just try to hold up your end," said Sasuke, smirking.
"Heh. You too." Naruto grinned back, a little cockily.
Sakura's head whipped back and forth between the two. Was this some sort of moment? No. Maybe she'd been reading too much yaoi manga. She ought to cut down on that.
"There we go," said the Fight card, form solidifying.
Towering over the genin, the guy looked to be solid slabs of muscle laid over a framework of seriously huge. Kakashi would only come up to mid-chest against the form.
"Who the hell is that?" asked Sakura, finding the new form a bit intimidating.
An evil chuckle sounded from the new form, and he clenched a fist. "Raoh, the King Of Fists. Let me show you the foolishness of trying to fight me."
"Can we go with something a little less than that?" asked Naruto. "You stand out. Even in a village of ninja. I wouldn't be surprised if ANBU started showing up."
"Like Cat over there?" asked Sakura, her head moving a bit to the side to indicate a masked swordswoman who'd appeared out of the shadows and was now watching them.
"Too conspicuous?" said Raoh, frowning. "Oh very well. How about this?"
Again the form shifted, starting with a glow that built up, then the form dissolved into mist, finally reforming into a different shape.
"Okay, how's this?" said the busty girl.
"Uhm," said Naruto.
"Eep," said Sakura, eyeing the girl's assets and feeling a pang of jealousy. Telling herself that it was all fake didn't really help that much.
"Yume," said the Fight card, brandishing one fist with a grin. While the pose was nearly identical to Raoh's from earlier, she managed to seem more 'eager friendly' than the 'barely controlled menace' that Raoh had put out.
Naruto glanced to both Sasuke and Sakura, who had gone into ready stances.
"Shall we... oh. That's interesting," said 'Yume.' "The Power card is looking to get involved."
