Restart Deluge! Loopy Louise: Big Guy [Episode 256916]

by Kestral

The familiar was always unfamiliar, she always got someone different unless it was someTHING different. If it was a someone - they usually had the runes of the Gandalfr on their left hand.

The smoke cloud from her summoning started expanding. This hadn't happened very often in these loops, so THAT was different at least.

"This looks to be one of your more spectacular failures, Louise," called out Kirche.

The smoke now extended way beyond the walls of the school, and pretty high up.

Then the familiars started going nuts, all the natural creatures like wolves and hawks and owls backing WAY away from the smoke cloud.

"What's wrong, Alphonse?" asked one of the lesser nobles as her Buster Crab began backing away in a manner that suggested supreme caution.

That caused more of the crowd of students to notice their own familiars reacting to something in the cloud.

Something that sounded like a large section of brick wall being abruptly crushed to less than powder sounded from within the cloud and a vibration like a minor earthquake went through the ground.

"I've got a bad feeling about this," said one of the brighter students in the group.

The smoke began to clear.

"Where did that wall come from?" asked Guiche, whose eyes widened and he began backing away as his mind started putting things together.

Something took a deep breath, and the remaining smoke continued to drift away.

"Huh. Big," noted Louise.

Big it was. Reptillian. Humanoid. Asleep. Rivulets of water sluicing off its gargantuan form and splashing into the ground.

Kirche, ready to tease Louise with several prepared remarks, found herself abruptly unable to come up with any witty rejoinder at all. Instead she found some instinct telling her to freeze where she was and move SLOWLY away.

"M-Miss Valliere?" asked Colbert. "Now might be a good time to complete the ritual." As in before it wakes up and lays waste to the countryside?

"Good idea!" said Louise brightly, raising her wand.

"You've got to be kidding!" remarked Kirche aloud. Who then put both hands over her mouth.

"Hrf?" sounded the big lizard-thing, showing signs of waking up.

In all the loops she'd done, she'd NEVER rushed through the completion of the familiar contract to this extent before.

The big lizard came awake as runes came to exist on one of its 'hands' if you could term something like that a hand.

Then it got up. And up. And still up.

"Three hundred twenty eight feet high, sixty thousand tons weight," estimated Colbert as the ground shook as the beast stood fully erect for the first time.

"You," said Louise, pointing. "There's an ocean over that way. Go forage for yourself, just come when I need you. Frankly, I think my estate would be bankrupt trying to feed you."

The beast roared and began moving in that direction, each footstep shaking the ground.

Louise looked thoughtful as she watched the beast go. "You know. This just might be interesting."
