He'd gotten greedy. He realized that. Even realized his mother had told him not to do anything to antagonize the Being that had been doing this. He had wanted the wheel to come up with [Special Jutsu] - it had just been so tempting.
In trying to get that, he'd lost EVERYTHING.
"Na-Naruto-kun."
Naruto looked up at the girl fidgeting before him. "I..."
"Brisingamen," said Hinata, holding up the device and revealing that not everything had been reverted.
[Sorry, Hime. Current chakra reserves insufficient for full activation.]
"Oh," said Hinata, drooping a bit.
[Suggest increasing reserves gradually through training.]
"How do I do that?" wondered Hinata aloud.
[Training program loaded. Will assist.]
"Oh? Oh!" said Hinata. "Ca-can you help Naruto too?"
[Naruto Uzumaki does not require assistance with increasing chakra capacity.]
"No?" asked Naruto, frowning. It was definitely a plus that Hinata asked for him - without him prompting her or anything too! Definitely a minus in that it looked like he couldn't use this.
[Naruto Uzumaki already has large chakra capacity. Control, however, is lacking. The opposite situation from Hime.]
"So you're saying that I have good control but not much capacity, while Naruto has poor control and a good capacity?" asked Hinata, puzzling this out.
[Affirmative, Hime.]
"Oh," said Naruto, understanding that and taking some comfort in the idea that he had a lot of chakra.
"Can you teach Naruto control exercises?" asked Hinata.
[Negative. This unit was made specifically for Hime. Ability to interface with others is limited.]
"Oh," said Hinata, looking disappointed.
"Hey, don't worry about me!" declared Naruto, jabbing a thumb at his chest. "I'll be fine! In a year, I'll have wishes that'll knock everyone's tabi off!"
Hinata brightened at that and nodded with a little "unn" noise.
"Right," said Naruto, vowing he'd show everyone what he could do and then Sakura would stop paying attention to Sasuke and everything would be better.
