Furry Senshi: Everything Must Go [Episode 25902]

by Thrythlind

Ranma and Sheila were surprised to find a veritable market set up in the front courtyard of the Tendo dojo when they got back.

A big sign was hanging over the gate reading: "Silver sale, everything must go. Incredible Prices."

"What the..." Sheila asked.

"Nabiki," Ranma said.

"Do you think it's safe to go through?" Sheila asked.

"I think so," Ranma said.

So saying the two of them began walking through the small crowd of people that were hanging about the various tables where Kasumi and Nabiki had gathered all the silver out of the house. The tables were manned by Nabiki's associates and Akane's friends, who'd most likely done the actual handling of the silver.

"Hey, Ranma, Sheila," Nabiki said as the two approached the house.

"Where'd you get all this stuff?" Ranma asked.

"It's been around," Nabiki said. "I've just never been in a situation where I needed to sell it before. Financially, I still don't...but..."

"Kinda counter-productive for a were to have silver around," Sheila nodded.

"Have you guys seen Akane?" Nabiki asked. Sheila and Ranma turned very nervous. "What's wrong?"

"She's at the hospital," Ranma said, giving the institution's name. "This monster...was made of silver, and she..." Nabiki's pupils shrunk as her eyes widened.

"Oh kami," she said in a strained voice. "She didn't keep hitting it, did she?"

"She did," Sheila said. "Until the end. Then she started throwing stuff."

"She can be taught after all," Nabiki said with dark humor. "How bad?"

"You'll have to ID her by smell..." Ranma said. "Ami's father said she'd be fine eventually..." Nabiki stood up and headed back into the house. She paused.

"Kasumi and I had better see her," Nabiki said. "But you two watch out. Daddy and Mr. Saotome are up to something."

"Thanks for the heads up," Ranma said. The two jagweres took caution as they entered the house, listening for the two fathers talking.

"It's fool-proof, Tendo," Genma was saying. "We just have to get the pin on the boy and he'll hate her..."

"Oh, great..." Ranma said. "The reversal jewel. How'd they get that from Cologne?"

"What does that do?" Sheila asked.

"Turns love into hate if you use it wrong," Ranma said. "Errr, it's probably a bad idea to stay here, unless you want to sleep in shifts."

"So where do we go then?" Sheila asked.

"This is it," Makoto said. "Home sweet home. Not much I guess."

"You live alone?" Jetta asked. "No parents?"

That spoke well for this girl's ability to survive. Even if this was the steel wilderness rather than than the forest, survival was survival.

"Yeah," Makoto said. "My parents are dead. Not that that stops them from being parents, of course." Jetta blinked at that comment, did the girl speak to the dead as well?

"Do you speak to them often?" she asked.

"Well," Makoto said. "Yeah, not that they say anything, but I pretty much know what they'd say...so...I do have parents...sort of."

Jetta nodded and was about to say more when the phone rang.

"Oh, just a moment," Makoto said. She moved to the phone and picked it up. "Hello? Yes? Oh, Ranma, hello. You need a place to stay...Sheila too?"

Jetta noticed the rising tone of voice in the younger werewolf. The excitement and anticipation was easy to smell as well. She arched her eyes in consideraton.

"Sure, come right over!" Makoto said, eyes darting around her apartment. "It'll be tight, but I can squeeze the two of you into my bed...I mean into a bed. See you quickly then."

Then the phone clicked down and she looked around at her apartment.

"Hey, Jetta," Makoto said. "Want to help me clean up...please?"

"Sure," Jetta said. "You're attracted to those two?"

"Uhhhh..." Makoto's flush was detectable in her sudden nervousness. Jetta noddad, and wondered if she should lecture about Makoto's duty as a fertile werewolf female...

Setsuna was sipping a cup of tea when a small sensation passed over her. Not even so much as a headache, just a small change. Still, small changes could be significant. So she took a brief look at the time gates. After all she was already there, not like she had anywhere else to go for a couple of days since Raphiel blew up Haruka's house.

Of course, it had to happen sooner or later. Ranma Saotome would have to have ended up with one of them.

She watched Makoto working at her restaurant and being helped by a teenaged lycanthrope that looked something like a jaguar-spotted werewolf, the heir to the power of Jupiter.

Ranma, Sheila and Makoto would be their official connection to Jade realm then, if this were correct. And vice versa, and an excellent trio of ambassadors they were likely to be.
