There were shrieks and cries from the visiting children from a local school as the feeling of rage flowed into the room ahead of the figure.
"IT'S OTENMARU!" declared one of the children as she tried to hide behind a desk.
"BLOOD! DEATH! DES..." The personification of darkness moving into the room evaluated the scene.
Shrieking and cowering children ranging in age from about five to at most eight, apparently civilian. Three adult women in fairly normal clothing wearing name badges and in not much better shape emotionally than their charges. A few guys who had apparently been sitting at the desks, two of whom were hiding and one of whom had risen partly to his feet and was clutching... a stapler.
Oh, and there was one girl wearing foam and plastic armor and with a wooden naginata who looked like she wanted to flee to the next town.
"My lady? This isn't the management offices, this is a production facility. There's also a sign outside saying 'Welcome Saint Sawamura's Academy' - I think that's the school we passed on our way... oh. I see you found them."
Tsunade damped down the Killing Intent with some effort. "Ah. Excuse me."
After the two left, one of the teachers tried to speak a couple of times before finally managing something. "I think - I think perhaps we should take a rain check on the rest of the tour."
Shidori finally managed to get her own shaking under control. "Yes. I can certainly say so..."
Tsunade was suddenly there again in the doorway, menacing as she had been initially. She stalked forward towards the woman in the plastic-and-foam armor.
Shidori found she'd sunk to her knees before the Rage and Killing Intent, however all her practice with the naginata-ryu had the wooden practice weapon in front of her in a guard position. She closed her eyes rather than see the killing blow coming.
"My lady? Oh my. She's almost as big as you are."
Shidori felt a tear tracking down her cheek. Now that she was about to die in a horribly painful manner, it was odd how hyperaware she was of everything around her.
Then there was a sudden lancing pain in the forehead before everything went dark.
Tsunade finger-flicked the obvious civilian into unconsciousness rather than have her pass away from a heart attack and then ripped away the armor and under-kimono. Then, not believing what she was seeing, ripped away the reinforced support bra underneath. Freed from their restriction, they actually expanded slightly.
"My lady?!" squeaked Shizune. Yeah, she knew how it could get after Tsunade had had a few. And yes - she had kept tabs on how much Tsunade had drank on the road. Still, there were limits of how much she could turn a blind eye to before acute embarrassment set in.
"They're real?" asked Tsunade, poking at one to see if it would dispel.
There came a sound then, but it was of the teachers getting their children to run as if their lives and sanity depended on it.
The Killing Intent and dark aura of rage guttered and went out. Tsunade slowly straightened herself. "Oh. Hell."
"My lady?" asked Shizune.
"SHE's Tomoe Tiger?" asked Tsunade.
"Well, she might be the character model," admitted Shizune as she matched up the figure and hairstyle and armor. Though the breast size was a bit small compared to the tiger, it was still considerably more full than usual. Perhaps the woman was related to the Hyuga?
Tsunade tugged at the surprisingly tough bra with the thin straps that flared wide and had padding at the shoulders. "I wonder where she gets those."
"What's going... on," said Jiraiya, arriving suddenly and equipped for what he thought would be another group of assassins from Orochimaru. "Oh. Hell."
Tsunade picked up her Killing Intent from where she'd left off earlier. "JI-RA-I-YA."
BLAM!
Basu Teruka saw his partner get launched from the building he'd entered a moment ago, go flying across the lot, and smash into one of the carriages that had been used to ferry kids from the school to the studio. In front of a bunch of said kids.
He wasted no time, going immediately to the set of buttons that had been rigged with small capacitors. While there weren't many ninja-trained individuals on staff, one or two had been failed Academy students who'd gone on to develop their chakra capacities enough for things like that. Pushing the button started an evacuation alarm across the facility.
Then he evacuated the area himself and planned a little vacation. He had enough saved up for one, he deserved it at this point. Besides, they'd need to rebuild whatever got wrecked.
Yup. Perfect time for a vacation.
Jiraiya normally didn't fight back against Tsunade. There was a sort of unwritten code amongst perverts, super-perverts, and the like. Even if you COULD reasonably defend yourself against Righteous Feminine Wrath, it was best and the most honorable course to just take your lumps.
When he found he'd destroyed the property of that school by being forcibly slammed into it, and seeing that some of the pieces had come uncomfortably close to hitting those children, something changed within him.
Tsunade charged across the lot, fist raised to properly punish her old team-mate.
Only to find her punch redirected off to the side into empty air and Jiraiya slipping into a wrestling grip.
"Are you trying to hurt those kids?" hissed Jiraiya into her ear.
Tsunade blinked and glanced to the side, really seeing them for the first time. Civilian kids. Who were terrified nearly out of their little minds. "You're using little kids as a shield?"
"Get serious," hissed Jiraiya, not letting up his grip. "If I'd known for certain that you were coming, and that it would be today, I'd have evacuated staff and cancelled all events. If you have a gripe against me, fine - take it out against me. Leave THEM out of it."
"Let. Go."
Jiraiya stepped away cautiously.
"This isn't over," growled Tsunade, covering that she was feeling a bit queasy about her own actions and trying to ignore the little voice in her head telling her to re-evaluate the situation.
"Wouldn't expect it to be," admitted Jiraiya, hands up as he backed away.
