"What?" asked Sakura, backing up until her backside was pressed against the wooden statue.
"Don't EVEN start with that," said Sasuke, who found that when he had started - his built-up frustration just had to release. He went on with the details. About silly schoolgirls who paid more attention to fashion and makeup than the skills they'd need to survive as ninja. About how they lacked focus, and that their desire to impress him with one thing or another was actually less likely to impress him than repel him. "-and we're TWELVE. AND I have That Man to kill. Getting strong enough to avenge my clan is all that matters to me, and the only interest I have in girls is if they can help me do that. PERIOD. I wish you'd all go off and go after Naruto instead!"
Sometime during Sasuke's speech, Cherry had gotten out a teaset and now Naruto and Kakashi were sipping fresh tea.
Naruto looked up, having awoken somewhat due to the tea. "Eh? Why are you-"
"Because YOU actually are looking for affection, YOU have the crush on Sakura, YOU are the one who everyone shuns," said Sasuke. "I wish that all of the girls that fixate on me would be after YOU instead." It was a distraction from what he actually needed to be doing after all.
"You've already gotten a wish," protested Cherry. "It won't work twice. Rare enough it works once."
"Oh yeah," said Sakura, momentarily hurt and not really thinking. "Well I wish that too! But I - where's that light coming from? Uh oh."
FWASH!
"And another hole in the roof to fix," grumbled Cherry. "Selfless wish benefits another. Yeah. Fits."
Sasuke facepalmed.
Kakashi facepalmed.
"I take it back!" yelled Sakura to the sky.
A mouse wearing a little happi coat facepawed.
Naruto blinked. "What just happened?"
"Good question," said the still-facepalming Kakashi. "Priest-san, what just happened?"
"Let me consult the stewbowl," said Cherry, getting out a bowl and checking the contents.
"I don't feel any different," said Sakura, currently panicking and wondering how to take back what she'd just said.
"The future is cloudy and needs more carrots," said Cherry.
"This can't end well at all, can it?" Naruto asked Kakashi.
"It could, but that is very unlikely," replied Kakashi.
"I DIDN'T MEAN IT!" yelled Sakura at the heavens.
"I don't think elder gods of mischief allow take-backs," supplied Kakashi.
"Not very often at any rate," mumbled Cherry, the priest stirring the stew and then peering into it. It appeared to be that:
