He knew this because he'd tried that once and unexpectedly ended up with Obito Uchiha having an unrequited crush on Kakashi Hatake, Ibiki Morino having an Equestria Summoning Contract, and Sakura Haruno vowing vengeance on Kumogakure after the death of her parents the night Hinata's kidnapping had taken place.
Considering that the change had been to take Naruto during the Wave scenario and have him live two years as Louise's familiar in that Tristania kingdom - that had been a very odd result even by his standards.
Where to stick that one second was another question. The easiest way to do it, that wouldn't result in Jiraiya picking up an STD in a Kiri port town and swearing off porn for life, was to insert at a "soft point" in the timestream where things were naturally a bit more loose. He'd once explained it to a einherjar that it was like a widened area of a river where the current naturally slowed and swirled about a bit.
There was a good one there in the whole "Journey to Wave" and another one coming back, and even one around the time of that bridge fight. There was an excellent one there, one year before Naruto's graduation. Another after graduation from the Academy and after meeting Konohamaru. There was one in the second test of the Chunin Exams, another in the month after the second test and before the third, two during the attempt to retrieve Sasuke, three during the training journey with Jiraiya. After that there was a period where things were pretty much narrowed and sweeping along with only two more "soft points" until one got to Jiraiya's death and then there were another two just after that and actually within a few days of each other. Then another pretty much solid period until well after Pain's invasion and then on to the whole attempt to reunite the Tailed Beast thing came around. By which point everything was beginning to look like a train wreck as viewed from outside the timeline. There were chunks of what looked like revisions to the timeline in the original scenario and left the Elder Being scratching his head because he knew darn well that HE hadn't been the one to put them there.
No, best to make any changes well before that.
Going backward, there were several other "soft points" - two more as Naruto was growing up. One the day he was born. Two during Kushina's pregnancy. Three during the somewhat tumultous and occasionally violent courtship between Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze.
Settling down and focussing on Naruto's life again, and dismissing the urge to just go back and muck about with the Sage Of Six Paths, Toltiir considered the possibilities.
The statues were of him in this room, and yet they were odd.
Why did THIS him have a tail and ears? And here was one where he was a she, plus tail and ears. The terms didn't make much sense to him until Naruto touched the "?" and got back a text box. At which point he understood things a bit better.

Naruto glanced up at the "statue" and thought that explained the white robes and stick she had, but not what she was or why she was a she. Maybe the "?" next to the race/gender thing?

"That still doesn't explain why it's a girl," grumbled Naruto.
The next one in line had a version of him with a sword and shield wearing some kind of armor.

The next statue was also female, causing Naruto to back up and check. Yup. Boy, girl, boy, girl, boy, and so on. Well, that explained it. Sort of.

Naruto nodded. Taijutsu he knew at least something about, so this one made sense. It also lacked the tail and ears, but the whole girl thing was a big turn-off.
The next one had him craning his neck up and staring.

Naruto stared at the figure. It was easily twice his height. Still looked like him a bit, in the face and coloration, but was also much more massive. Armor, thick plates of it, seemed to offer some protection. Both the pose and expression combined with those factors as if to say "I am the rock of my own destiny, leaving the broken and bleeding bodies of my enemies as a trail and warning to others not to stand in my way."
"Whoa," said Naruto. He had to admit to himself, that was a statement he could generally get behind. Though it didn't look too agile or fast.

Naruto shook his head and looked at the last two briefly.
The male was listed as "Elezen male" and "Conjurer" while the female was "Elezen female" and "Archer" - neither of which particularly interested him. Maybe later though.
An idea caused him to go back to one of them and try pushing on the species, to see if maybe he could switch that part out.
