"This is just to evaluate your jutsu," said Iruka. "Summoning contracts are seen as quite useful after all. With the Hokage's permission, it will be used as extra credit to bring up your grades. You could certainly use it, after all."
"Uhm, okay," said Naruto nervously. Not all the looks sent his way could be described as friendly after all.
"So, before he starts," said someone with odd white eyes, "what exactly is he summoning?"
"He has described it as a 'girlfriend summoning contract' to me earlier, because a girl he was asking out was particularly violent in refusing him," said the Hokage with a smirk.
"He's asking girls out at eleven?" asked another man. "Precocious ain't he?"
"I'm what?" asked Naruto, thinking it was an insult.
"You're early for that sort of thing is all," said the man with a smile and a wink at Naruto.
That calmed Naruto down enormously and after a moment essayed a tentative smile in return.
"He summons girls?" asked a very old woman. "That has the potential for all sorts of abuse."
"Naruto, correct me if I'm wrong, but your summoning jutsu allows you to summon one of four girls who have decided to be your friend by accepting the contract, right?" asked Iruka.
"Yeah, that's it! I think I can do more later, but right now I can only do four because of some kinda weird stuff I don't really get," said Naruto, a bit more enthusiastic now. "But I'll learn how and be able to summon more than one at a tie and it'll be another step on my path to be an awesome ninja! Believe it!"
"Kekkei genkai then?" asked the old woman from before, still looking like she'd bitten into something sour.
"Naruto, go ahead and summon the most friendly of the four," said the Hokage, deciding to cut to the quick. This would answer most of the questions. Also had the possibility of amusing him. Considering his job - he could certainly use moments of amusement.
Naruto nodded, brought both hands together in an odd seal and then slapped them against the floor. "Yuki!"
A circle with the character for ice appeared in midair, glowed brightly before fading away, and produced blowing snow before it finished fading. The snow solidified, shifted, and took humanoid form.
She was about Naruto's age, slightly taller, with blue skin and long white hair. Her kimono was likewise in shades of blue and white, with decorations of ice crystals.
The old woman let out a deep breath which came out as fog in the now-chilly room.
"A yukionna," explained the Hokage, for those who might be a little less familiar with them.
"Yeah! She's cool!" said Naruto, blushing slightly as the girl gave him a hug. She disengaged, smiling brightly before giving the assembled ninja a deep bow.
A man mostly covered in bandages looked to the Hokage. "I take it the other 'girls' are similar?"
"Dryad of the wood, Naiad of the waters, and Pixie of the air."
"I see," said the bandaged man at Naruto's answer. He again turned to the Hokage. "I see. I understand why you called this evaluation then. I shall not interfere."
"Good," said the Hokage simply.
"Hmph," said the old woman. "So you can summon some slip of a girl. I cannot sense her chakra at all - so what she can do?"
Yuki frowned and made a gesture. Ice formed a pillar directly in front of the woman's chair.
It sat there a moment before the ice shattered and the old woman sat back down from where she'd shattered it.
Koharu's frown had shifted slightly by the time she'd settled into her seat. "Ice Release. I take it the others have similar abilities?"
The yukionna glanced at Naruto before nodding.
"I see," said Koharu, looking slightly more mollified. "Fine. I withdraw my objection as long as they wait until they're older."
The yukionna clutched her cheeks and looked embarrassed for some reason that Naruto absolutely didn't get.
