Akane sniffed. As if she could be wrong. "Wanna Bet? The 'End Of The World'? Good thing you ran off that stupid bimbo, Ranma!"
"Like I had a choice with Pops, you, and Mister Tendo watching me all night," grumbled Ranma.
"What was that? Would you care to repeat it?" Akane asked her fiance.
"No," grumbled Ranma. He wanted to watch this and not take a mallet flight.
Cologne checked. They were as ready as they could be. The JSSDF was mobilizing, but so far all they had were two tanks and an APC - from the anti-Yakuza task force oddly enough.
There were Senshi and Devilhunters, her own Chinese Amazons - a total of six including the three from Osaka, there were street fighters and darkstalkers, there were scared little girls who had some minor magic up their sleeve.
Anyone that Sailor Pluto, Cologne, Chun Li Zhang, and others could contact. Rivalries and enmities were put aside. That didn't mean they trusted each other, but if there was a chance this was for real - it was far more important than personal quabbles.
Sadly, Cologne thought to herself, not everyone could see it. She had hoped that Ranma could have shown up. Not that he'd be that much help but everything indicated that every little bit would throw things that much more in their favor.
At "8:44am" a glowing pinpoint erupted in the area marked by the wards, it quickly became a rip in midair and there was a rumble as if the Earth itself was protesting the coming disaster.
