“Why would we live in the same place?” Naruko energetically questioned her companions, eyeing the small grimace on Sachiko’s lips.
“I don’t know.” Sakura answered with a shake of her head. “But I think you both should keep quiet about it until we find out.”
Letting out a breath, Sachiko nodded to the pink haired girl’s statement. “You’re right. I just hope we find some records or something that explains all this when we get there.”
Getting a sly look in her eye and a mischievous grin, the blonde of the group reached around Sakura to poke her rival in the arm repeatedly. “What, like a diary?” Seeing the statement get the raven haired girl’s eye twitching, Naruko knew she had struck gold. “Aw, does little Sachiko-chan keep a diary? Does it have little pink hearts and glitter all over it?”
“I will light you on fire!” The Uchiha growled out, glaring daggers at her new presumed housemate.
“Naruko, cut it out!” Sakura chided, still consciously forcing herself to use the correct name.
“Ah, come on! This is some Grade A-ack! Uff!” Naruko complained before suddenly shooting wide-eyed with shock and tripping over her own feet.
“Forget how to walk, Dobe?” Sachiko asked with a smirk, watching the blonde girl get up off the ground and dust herself off.
“No.” She answered with a shake of her head, showing a harried look on her face. “One of my bunshin dispelled after meeting up with Hinata-chan.”
Blinking at that, Sakura tried to connect that with the blonde girl tripping. “Ah, okay?”
Scratching the back of her neck, a bright flush covered her cheeks as she looked away from her teammates. “Well, she sorta…” Her words trailed off into incoherent mumbling.
“She what? Speak up.” Sakura demanded, getting a little annoyed at this point.
“She invited me and Sachiko to a bathhouse sometime.” Naruko hissed out, face still flush with the request and the realization of what side of the baths she’d be using.
“Urk!” Sakura choked out, jerking her head from blonde to the Uchiha and back to Naruko. By this time, all three girls’ faces were different shades of red embarrassment. Coughing into her hand, trying to regain her composure, she hesitantly asked, “So, what did you tell her?”
“I… The bunshin told her that it was just a bunshin but I’d ask Sachiko.” Naruko explained, stressing the Uchiha's name, clearly not comfortable with the conversation.
Glancing towards the still silent and red faced Uchiha, the Haruno girl wondered, “What did she say to that?”
Rubbing the back of her neck, the blonde haired girl grimaced slightly. “Ah… she just smiled and nodded… sorta like it was gonna happen.”
“Then I guess we’ll have to go.”
“What!?” Sakura shrieked in shock, jerking her head towards her now female crush, clearly not expecting the Uchiha to say something like that. A moment later, she blanched as her outburst drew some curious looks from the others on the street before they went back to their business.
Though obviously not comfortable with the situation, Sachiko put on a stoic face as she gave an unconcerned shrug. “Hinata is the heiress of the Hyuuga clan, to reject her offer would be an affront to our clans’ relationships.” Glancing towards their blonde teammate, she added, “More likely though, since she asked Naruko, is that we’re friends with her now and to not accept would be out of the ordinary.”
“But you’ll be on the girl’s side of the bath!” Sakura hissed out, scandalized with the Uchiha’s words.
Giving a bland look to the pink haired kunoichi, Sachiko waved a hand over her changed body. “If you haven’t noticed, I am a girl thanks to you, Sakura.”
“Wonder where she got that idea from, huh, Teme?” Naruko harshly asked with a roll of her eyes, receiving a glare from the Uchiha.
“Ah, let’s not get worked up over things we can’t change, alright?” Sakura bashfully said, trying to derail the growling between her two altered teammates. Blinking as she saw the best way to do that, she pointed ahead of them, “Hey, isn’t that the Uchiha symbol?”
As Sakura pointed out, there was a house ahead with the red and white fan logo, which the Uchiha used, painted onto one of the gate posts. Glancing at the other gate post, the pink haired girl blinked as she saw a spiral of black on a red circle. “Is that the Uzumaki family symbol?”
“Maybe?” Naruko answered, looking down to the patch on the shoulder of her jacket. She couldn’t remember exactly, but she remembered that the Hokage told her it was important when she was really young.
Deciding that she didn’t want to stand in the street in front of what should be her own house, Sachiko pushed open the gate and moved up to the front door. Gripping the handle, there was a small flare of seals activating, causing her to flinch slightly before she relaxed when they faded. Turning the knob, the door opened as if unlocked and she entered, calling out a customary, “I’m home!
