"HOW?!" demanded Sasuke, staring at someone who very much resembled his mother.
"KAI! KAI DAMNIT!" tried Ino.
"The How and Why are all S-Rank secrets, and not to be discussed," said Iruka. "Even Naruto's involvement is not to be mentioned, though the official codephrase for record purposes is Naruto's Moment of Awesome. I think we all can figure out who came up with that name."
Naruto just grinned.
"Mother?" asked Sasuke eventually.
"No, I'm your Aunt Miki," said Miki Uchiha. "Heya squirt. You grew up some."
"BUT YOU'RE DEAD! THEY'RE ALL DEAD!" indicated Sasuke, his cool shattering. For a moment at least, he had become less the genius ninja student and more the twelve year old boy whose world had just turned upside-down.
"I was. I got better," said Miki. "S-Class Secrets."
Sasuke stared for a moment, then his head whipped to the side to stare at Naruto. That lasted for perhaps three seconds before he leapt over, grabbed Naruto by the shirt, and began shaking him. "Bring them back! My parents! My clan! My family!"
Two ANBU were suddenly there, gently disengaging the Last Uchiha from his classmate and taking him away. His Aunt Miki bowed to the class and followed, whispering to her fellow resurectees that she needed to take care of this.
"It's unlikely this could ever happen again," noted Tobirama in his gruff voice. "Billion-to-one odds."
"I wouldn't have said they were that good," noted Mito. "Why did that girl in the back faint?"
"No volunteers?" scoffed Tobirama as his eyes swept the crowd. "What has happened to the youth of Konohagakure that they don't leap on this chance?"
"This has to be some kind of trick," said Kiba. "Naruto? The dead last? The class clown?"
"I've also heard him called 'the number one most unpredictable ninja' - and that seems to have some validity," said Mito. "Well, come on, Naruto. We have to get you trained quickly."
"There's a special rush?" asked Iruka.
"We were never going to be able to keep secret that Naruto brought back two Hokage from the dead," said Mito. "These two would never manage to keep disguised very long without revealing themselves. Probably at the worst time."
"Tch." Tobirama then shrugged before continuing. "True though."
"I admit I don't personally know Miki, but I suspect she's the same in that regard," said Hashirama.
"So, yes, I suspect that other villages will send assassins to kill Naruto," said Mito.
"Because there are ALWAYS idiots," said Tobirama, folding his arms in front of him and looking disgusted. "They'll want to test whether we're real."
"Why they couldn't do the civilized thing and send kunoichi on a seduction mission?" asked Mito. "Someone halfway skilled could get all the details out of him just by buying him a bowl of ramen. Men."
"Hey now," complained Hashirama.
Tobirama made a disgusted noise, turned around and left.
"Huh, I'm not that bad," complained Naruto, headed towards the door.
"Yes, you are," said Iruka. "Good luck, Naruto!"
Sasuke stared. His mother's sister had apparently died two days prior to Itachi going crazy and killing everyone.
He didn't know her well though, because she'd been like Obito Uchiha - a black sheep of the family that nobody really wanted to talk about.
There had been several times when his mother had mentioned her though, before his father or someone else had changed the subject. Those had given him a sort of vague picture of the woman.
She was apparently one of those Uchiha whose Sharingan had never developed or who had refused to use her birthright. She had, in fact, referred to them at least once as the "Eyes of Misery" - and Sasuke had only found out why after the massacre when he'd read about what was required to unlock the second stage of the Sharingan. So maybe she had that, but died anyway.
Miki Uchiha was taboo. Sasuke wasn't sure if it was her reported lack of dignity, her fondness for using twin sai in combat, or her tendency to favor the company of the Inuzuka clan, or some scandal that had involved a jonin from Kiri.
Miki turned around and regarded him briefly. "You've turned into a young man. A brooding and absolutely no fun-looking young man at that."
"My clan was murdered in a single night," responded Sasuke.
"But you're alive, and you should live as much as you can to make the most of that," said Miki. "I can't tell you too much. It's all wrapped in secrets. But ask anyway."
