"You maybe want to try a few days in one and see how it goes?"
"Eh? We can do that?" asked Naruto.
An image that looked sort of like two trees appeared in midair, everything but leaves displayed in silhouette.
"Two timelines. I can link an entry point here and an exit point here two weeks apart on the alternate timeline and make the links on this timeline two minutes apart."
"Oh," said Naruto, seeing the little arrows appearing.
"That - actually makes sense," admitted Sakura.
"Gee. Thanks."
"Okay, but what are we trying out?" asked Naruto, eager to try something that maybe involved him being awesome or something.
Images began to flash through a cycle. They could see images where Naruto was fighting skeletal warriors, or standing in a lab of some kind, or standing on an odd device that flew through the skies, or wielding an oversized sword.
Sakura stabbed a finger out. "How about that one?"
"Odd choice."
Sakura blinked as she realized she was pointing at a picture of herself on an operating table. "Wai-"
FLICK
"BWAHAHAHAHAHA!" laughed Naruto. "I'll show them! I'll show them all!"
"Are you sure about this?" asked Hinata.
"Did I not give you and your sister your sight back?" asked Naruto. "Did I not develop a giant robot? Have I not developed the Ultimate Relaxation Chair Mark IV!"
"With back and shoulder, foot and leg, heated massaging action," said Tsunade, sitting back in said device and practically melting.
"I always wanted to have trained attack ninja minions, make sure you sign her over when you take that," said Naruto. "She'll make an excellent trainer for Hinata and Hanabi."
"Oh yeahhhhhhh," said Tsunade.
"I'm surprised you didn't add hypnotic mind-control devices to that," said Hanabi sarcastically. That was her role after all - to be the bratty half-pint little-sister figure. Which was a damn sight better than experimental subject after all.
"Have to save that for the Mark V, besides - my reputation as a Mad Spark is that I always follow the spirit of any agreement I make," said Naruto. "Having a theme is important. Anyway. Back to the creation of my special minion! The Strength Agility Kickass Ultimate Random Acronym minion!"
"I still prefer 'Special Artificial Kinetic Unit Robotic Android' if you have to use that acronym," said Hanabi.
"Nah, it was pointed out that I had to use 'Gynoid' instead of 'Android' because of the gender thing," said Naruto.
"So why use an acronym anyway?" asked Tsunade, ending that with a groan as a particularly stubborn knot between her shoulders came loose.
"Traditional of genius mad scientists," said Naruto, yanking the chain that moved the platform up to a set of particularly ominous-looking electrodes. "Now the knife switch."
Yeah, he could have gone with a button. Or a small switch. No, he wanted a BIG impressive-looking knife switch. The kind that practically screamed "throw me" to the heavens.
"BWAHAHAHAHAHA!" laughed Naruto, before turning towards the chair and confessing in a normal voice. "I love this part."
"I couldn't guess," said Tsunade in a sarcastic voice.
Multicolored lightning played over the platform. Green, purple, yellow, white, finally settling into pink.
"Hmmm, not quite what I expected," said Naruto, glancing back down as a gauge went from 'Frozen' to 'Well Done.'
DING!
"All right," said Naruto as he turned off the device, then lowered the platform. Finally, he threw back the covering. "Now, rise my minion! Rise, experiment 404! Rise, Sakura!"
The pink-haired girl on the slab slowly opened her eyes and regarded the scene.
