There were two days left before the Chunin Exams started. One day before the trio from Sand arrived. One day could not actually do much for one young girl to improve her skills.
Didn't mean she wasn't trying.
Kakashi put his back to a tree as Sakura(future Naruto) pounded a post. "Two days."
"Yeah," said Sakura. "Not much time to work with. Not enough chakra to do shadow clones yet."
"Not going to use soldier pills?" asked Kakashi.
"Sakura isn't Sakura Inuzuka," stated Sakura. "The Akimichi make those food and soldier pills - and even they have bad side effects from them. The only ones who use them regularly without getting sick or injured - Inuzuka. Or at least they don't let anyone know if they've gotten sick."
"No, that's pretty much summed it up. They can use soldier pills with minor side effects. Most everyone else gets the nausea, shakes, and exhaustion after the pill's run out. Well, except for two families I know of - one of whom gets explosive diarrhea. They pretty much stay away from those."
"Gee, I can't imagine why," said Sakura with extreme sarcasm lacing her voice.
"Can you imagine being on a mission like that?" asked Kakashi. He was silent for a few moments before changing the subject. "I thought you could use your own chakra?"
"In an emergency - maybe," admitted Sakura. "Condition number one covers that. Otherwise I'm to train up Sakura's chakra levels. What about our spies?"
"Ninety-odd percent of our ANBU can't be used," said Kakashi. "A decent sensor or someone of the skill you described would be able to tell if they were being observed more than normal. All it would take is one slip."
"Yeah," said Sakura. "We got an extra one over there."
"Keeping track of Sasuke," noted Kakashi. "The reason she was given was 'psych exam turning up red flag' but if anyone investigates beyond that the reason in the files is 'possible sexual dysfunction - gender dysphoria' and the potential problems for rebuilding his clan leading to excessive frustration levels."
"Oh. Oh, that's..." Sakura's voice trailed off and her expression wasn't one typically used by Sakura Haruno. Naruto was much more likely to wear such an expression. "If they approach Sasuke with that sort of enticement?"
"I sincerely doubt Sasuke will respond in a positive fashion," said Kakashi drily. "Any idea what's going on with your younger self?"
"Yeah. I got some details. Chosen of Mask, a deity of another universe. And by that I mean an actual kami-slash-god. One that specializes in trickery, sneaking, thievery, and that sorta thing." Sakura paused. "I don't know much details and as Naruto just got here - we could ask."
There was a pause and Naruto flickered into visibility. "How could you tell?"
"Temporarily got chakra sensor abilities," answered Sakura. "So come on, Chosen of Mask. What did you get out of it?"
Toltiir watched, a whiteboard nearby keeping track of things in a manner of shifting digital display that whiteboards generally didn't have.
Though some of the data shown was fairly normal. Naruto's increased stealth abilities being one, as well as the other benefits of being a Chosen of Mask:
