The next moment they were in Training Ground 44 and then - not.
"Okay. This is strange," said the first dragon, peering at himself. He moved his tail a few times.
The second dragon shifted and regarded the other two, noting that she was slightly shorter and more slender than the other forms. "We're dragons."
"I noticed," said the first dragon, sounding very snarky.
The third dragon had examined their surroundings, checked out the exit, and then returned in that short period. "Guys. We're in a floating invisible temple over a thick forest at the edge of the village."
"How can you tell if it's invisible?" asked the second dragon, sounding snarky herself.
"I shifted spectrums to human vision. It's tricky but we can do partial transformations." The third dragon shifted forms to Naruto and walked to the center of the temple. "Invisible to human visual stuff. Huh. So we're actually a new species - ninja dragons."
"You're just making things up now? You are SO pathetic, Naruto!" scoffed the second dragon.
"Actually, I think he's reading that slab in the middle," said the first dragon, moving there and then shifting to human form in order to properly examine the display.
"Oh," said the second dragon, shifting to Sakura's human form as she went. "Well. Habit."
"Bad habit," said Sasuke.
"So we were all turned into dragons, and provided a flying invisible temple as an afterthought. I think we did pretty well considering dealing with Elder Beings wasn't covered at all in the Academy," said Naruto. "At least any of the classes I was either there for or awake during."
Sasuke considered Naruto for a moment before speaking. "The intelligence rating for our species seems to be correct."
"I noticed," said Sakura, realizing she'd been staring at NARUTO of all people making observations like that.
The slab was of smoky white crystal, rectangular in shape, with faintly glowing blue script.

Sasuke smirked. He was stronger - that was what counted.
Sakura checked her hands, examining them carefully. They LOOKED human. Had she just given up her humanity for Sasuke? What if she couldn't turn back?
Naruto grinned. He felt great and this was one more step on his path to being the most awesome Hokage ever!
"What do you suppose the element stuff means?" asked Sakura, turning her gaze from her human-looking hands to the slab again.
"The text changed!" exclaimed Naruto.
Elemental Affinities of Ninja Dragons
Each Ninja Dragon has an innate elemental affinity which cannot be changed. Learning spells or abilities of that element is easier than any other element. All Ninja Dragons have a movement ability, breath weapon, and lair ability based on that element.
For example, Sasuke is a Ninja Dragon whose primary element is Lightning with a secondary element of Fire. While he can learn spells/jutsu with the element of Fire easily, it is Lightning that composes his breath weapon - a stroke of lightning that does damage to targets in a straight line out to 40 feet. Sasuke is immune to most attacks using the element of Lightning.
Sasuke cannot use Wind element attacks but is stronger against Earth element techniques. Sasuke's Sharingan can copy a Wind-based technique, but he cannot use those techniques. On the other hand, using Lightning-element attacks will see increased efficiency of chakra use.
"Hmm," hmmmed Sasuke absently. There were trade-offs apparently. Still, nothing that he couldn't live with. And the chance of surprising That Man with an elemental affinity or just turning dragon during the fight AND BITING HIM IN HALF just had a certain appeal.
