"If I'm stronger and on a team with Naruto, he has a better chance of surviving," pointed out Sasuke.
"Meh. Not amusing but I'll allow it at least for now. Next - Haruno."
"I wish I was stronger," said Sakura quickly. "Same reason."
"Not amusing. Not original. Next - Uzumaki?"
"Uhm," said Naruto.
"If you say you wish you were stronger, I swear that I'm going to drop a piano on all three of you."
"How about if I wish I was popular?" asked Naruto.
"Slightly better," said the Being. "Do you want to try rewording that or developing the idea further? Otherwise I'll throw you into another universe and arrange to engage you to a White Devil."
"I wish I was really really really popular?" tried Naruto.
"You know, I bet other Cosmic Entities trying to stir things up by giving out the traditional three wishes scenario don't have days like this."
"Err, right," said Naruto, thinking hard. What was Iruka-sensei always saying he could be better at? Paying attention to stuff? Chakra control? Focus? Doing paperwork and stuff? Hey! "I wish I was better at the stuff Iruka-sensei was always saying I needed to work on!"
"Hmm? Let's see. Oh. That might help actually. Yes. Now let's see how this works out when I let the 'fiddly little details' program run with this."
There came a series of beeps and boops and colored lightning smashing things in the distance.
Ding! went something in the universe.
Three kids faded out from a moon as things backtracked and began anew with:
