"We should bring Ami in next, I think." Rei remarked later, after her ire had been quenched by the lips and hands of her Princess and the Guardian of Time.
Usagi smiled a private little smile and murmured, "Um hum!" with some enthusiasm. A day ago, a week ago, it would have been innocently sweet. Now it looked incredibly naughty, and it was with some reluctance that Setsuna burst her princess' bubble. "Actually... Minako will probably show up soon. She cannot have missed... us... twice."
Rei blinked and looked at Setsuna in confusion, receiving a raised eyebrow in return. "She is the Senshi of Love, after all."
Usagi giggled. "You mean, she felt - " she made a parody of an expression of ecstasy recently seen on Setsuna's face.
"I'd be very, very surprised if she hadn't." Setsuna smirked. "We should all be ready to properly greet her, yes?"
It was then that the explosion shook the temple to its foundations, and all three women scrambled to their feet.
It had started with the restlessness of disturbed fantasies, and then forced her out onto the roof sometime ago.
"I hate the dark."
Aino Minako whispered softly to the stars, and bathed in the light of the moon as she fought an internal battle touched off by someone else's pleasure.
The stirring of emotions in her princess, and then in Setsuna and Rei was unmistakable - and not entirely surprising, either. Minako knew - none knew better! - that Usagi loved regardless of sex, or age, or even species. It was her Senshi power that knew that.
The -other- feeling that had drifted to her along the tight chains of heart that bound everything together, however, she had not expected.
*That* feeling made her shake with irrational, searing hatred and rage and wrestle with a power she had sealed away after her final days as Sailor V. That power... was too volatile, too dangerous, and cared not at all for fragile human lives. Using it had killed Adonis - and every other living thing save her and Artemis - in the movie studio and the complex of its attendant office buildings, back in China, consuming the whole structure in gold fire with a single blast.
And it hadn't wanted to stop with one building - she'd been lucky to limit it to that. Better to limit herself to only her Sailor Senshi powers.
"I... hate."
And it reacted to the other feeling that came from Usagi as her princess awakened to her heritage in this life.
A Darkstalker. A Demon. Light and Darkness combined - the two sides of the moon, appropriate. Exactly the sort of being she had spent the last few years protecting humanity *from*... And also, so very similar to herself.
"I... hate... the dark." Mina's eyes glowed solid gold with her inner energies; the battle to suppress her power was a losing one, she knew. Such was its nature, that suppressing it only made it stronger - and when it finally did burst forth, it would be terrible. Her only hope was that she would be able to control the hatred before then, before the Senshi Call to join her Queen became too much to resist.
She knew both the power and the irrational hatred to be a legacy from the father she had never known and fought to control both - she was the Senshi of Love, and she would not - could not, allow herself to be ruled by his hatred.
The same 'man' was the source of her mother's bitterness, and Mina would give him no more opportunity to hurt her family - for simply surviving Mina's conception had cost her mother nearly all of her supernatural power, and her birth the rest of it. When Mina described mother as an 'washed up, monstrous nag!' it was no joke. Her own mother was no more human than Usagi's parents.
And her 'Biological' father had been rather less human - for all that he had fathered her, Mina wasn't certain that the conception had involved sex. The image of him Mina had once torn from Aino Millennia's mind had indicated rather less biology than that.
As the power began to rage freely through her body again, awakened by her princess' awakening despite Mina's best efforts otherwise, her mother's blood responded - giving her slight fangs, very pointed ears, her features a feral, elfin cast, and enhancing her natural beauty to a near divine level of seductiveness.
And turning the power into a flare of light and energy that became not two but six thin, faintly glowing and pale white batlike wings.
"I -HaTe The DARK!" The blazing star who was Pyron's daughter gave voice to a scream of outrage and desperation that cracked glass by simple volume, never mind the shrieked pitch rage gave it. The calls - one to destroy all those Darkstalkers who had defied her father, and the other to go to her princesses side to pledge loyalty to her, had become to much to resist.
Aino Minako, Asura of the Morning Star, had taken flight with a thunderclap that shattered all of those cracked windows at once as she surpassed the speed of sound with ease.
Rei's rapid scramble was the first to reach the temple door - and hence the first to see the source of the commotion.
The yard was a mess - leaves, dust, small rocks and branches, bits of trash probably pulled off of the street - all of these littered it as if some monstrous wind had just swept Tokyo.
The nighttime yard was lit as if in daylight, a harsh white-gold light that left razor edged shadows, and it's source was standing atop the Red Arch in front of the temple, burning wings cast wide, and obviously waiting - but not for her.
It was a moment before she recognized the apparition as Minako - not only had her facial features changed, her eyes pulsed from blue to gold to blue again in a steady rhythm that kept time with the power Mina was *glowing* with, and her hair - each strand glowed as brightly as one of Mina's Crescent Beams, a soft waterfall of laser.
Usagi came up behind her and stifled a gasp, and even Setsuna let out a soft exclamation - though weather that was because Mina had changed so, or because she wasn't wearing a stitch, allowing every glowing inch of her curves be seen, was open to question.
"Hime-sama. Aensland... Hime-sama... I've come.." Mina's voice held in it a note of desperation as if she were fighting for control - but also a kind of deep, primal growl that made all three of them instinctively separate. That was no polite greeting, but a prelude to possible violence... and Rei felt in the same instant that Usagi did the difference in her own nature.
That threat - and their own responding aggression - felt good. The promise of unleashed violence was as arousing as their previous bout of sex had been, intoxicating.
Usagi smiled and chirped, "Not yet you haven't!", leering in response, which prompted Rei to blush and Growl, "This may not be the time, something is obviously wrong with her - when did she grow *those* and look like *that?!* Am I third!?"
Usagi turned to answer, leaving Setsuna the only one of the three paying attention, and so only the Bisan noticed the spasm of jealousy and rage that crossed Minako's face at the comment.
She had just enough time to knock both girls out of the way before Mina slammed into the space they had been in, totally demolishing the porch and slashing the front of the temple with wings that trailed white-hot plasma.
Then Setsuna was fighting for her life with relish - *this* was what combat was meant to be, fast and furious and full of unleashed power and magic, not the 'single spells being hurled around with all your strength' nonsense they had been limited to. There was only one problem with the equation - she was losing, and swiftly. Calling on her Senshi powers had delayed the inevitable - as Mina didn't seem to be using hers, only a pure, blasting white plasma flame that was certainly not a normal Darkstalker's power.
Then Rei and Usagi joined the battle, winging by them far over the city as Mina slashed at Setsuna with wings of with energy and threw bolts of cataclysmic power around as if they were watermelon seeds on picnic day.
Luck - and several judicious uses of time slipping on Setsuna's part - had kept Tokyo from being half-razed in those moments; then the combined powers of three Senshi Darkstalkers came crashing down on Minako's new form, and all of them - especially Usagi - tasted the joy that Morrigan Aensland found in pure, unrestrained combat.
A slip - seemingly almost deliberate - on Mina's part allowed Succubus Moon to tangle their wings together, using her Senshi magic to protect her more fragile Succubus membranes from Mina's laser-blade like limbs, and they crashed down into the snow atop Mount Fuji in a tangle of limbs and curves slick with sweat.
There the combat became one of another type all together, as Usagi's Succubus powers interacted with Mina's Senshi powers, striking all four of them with a shockwave of lust..
