Darkstalker Usagi: Conceptions [Episode 26877]

by Thrythlind

Long ago, Metallia made a desperate gambit to stop the resurrection of the Sailor Senshi. Or at least prevent them from interferring with her. Unable to halt the divine might of Serenity's spell, Metallia instead redirected it...forcing the souls of the senshi into the realm of the makai where they would be reborn without a connection to their planets.

Her attempt was in vain, however, as the various senshi were sent to the Earth for one reason or another.

The Makai was a harsh place of chaos and conflict. Those that were physically weak rarely survived long in that world. And the strains of life and power were bred towards battle and surviving battle for that reason. It also meant that few relationships were of a joyful sort.

Dmitri Maximov came to Morrigan as she sorted through the confusion of a second set of memories and used the situation to make an attempt to enslave the now vastly powerful Succubus. It only worked for a brief time.

When the succubus's memories settled, despite Maximov's manipulations, she broke free of his control. But the enslavement lasted long enough for the Aensland princess to conceive a child with the vampire. A fact she kept secret from all but a few of her most loyal servants, and those she told that the child came from one among her harem.

Morrigan was a great deal more powerful now than she had ever been before. But Dmitri had drank from her veins many times, and though she'd recovered...he'd gained power from it as well. Morrigan's revenge would have to come with caution if she didn't want to return to Maximov's control.

Morrigan set an ifrit to watch her child. An ifrit that would carry with it the unfettered spirit of Mars. A spirit that would be reborn after the ifrit married a priestess and conceived a child. This was no happier a story as Rei Hino's parents fell before the blade of Donovan Blade much later.

Aino Millenia had been a reasonably powerful tengu, and not of a decidely malicious nature either. She was dark and she was wild, but she cared not for the devouring of souls or the terrorizing of innocents. The spirit of the unborn Senshi of Venus had also been drawn to something of a romantic streak in the woman.

Unfortunately, Pyron had felt like experimenting and had found the feral tengu first. In seeing how much the process drained the "breeder" and how weak the child seemed immediately after the birth, Pyron quickly grew bored with the project and stranded the powerless darkstalker, stuck in human form, on the realm of Earth with the child to care for.

The reason for the divorce of Ami's parents was simple. Ami had cheated on her husband. It had been extraordinary circumstances, however, and not at all a thing that Kaori Mizuno had had much control over.

The Bermuda Triangle was not the only place where dimensional rifts would open and deposit the unwary in strange places. It was simply the best known and most stable. Kaori had strayed into a smaller such region during a snow storm and found herself in the unearthly cold of the Makai's arctic regions.

Before long she had encountered another "woman" also shivering from cold. Ami's mother was never aware of how close she came to being frozen solid at that point. Fortunately for her she mentioned the sharing of body heat and the yuki-onna held off from draining the much-needed heat from her body.

Things progressed from there with the help of Makai magics and necessity. And though Kaori and the woman with her had wandered back into Earth before a day had passed (very lucky for Kaori, who would likely not have survived another day with a Yuki-Onna desperate for heat) the deed had already been done.

The darkstalkers are not human, few of them conceive in the human fashion, though sex is often a part of the process. Yuki-Onna, Pyron and Ifrit were creatures that were primarily of energy, not genetics. Their form being one of preference rather than necessity. All it took was a little of that energy seeping into Kaori's womb for conception to take place and Ami to be born nine months later.

When the blood test for Ami came up as a type that proved her mother's husband was not her sire, the divorce was inevitable. And Ami and her mother still remained unaware of the potential locked within her.

Makoto's family were of the shape-changing spiders, the Kumo. Her mother learned of the massed insect army seeking to eradicate the Kumo and arranged for her eggs to be cast into the Earth realm, a spell of hiding and locking placed upon them. The brothers and sisters wee scattered across the Earth and many died before hatching. Some were born in spider form and remained locked that way until dying of old age or food for predators. The hiding spell was weak upon some and they were discovered by hunters or researchers. But one or two survived. Such as Makoto, though she knew nothing of where she came from.

Michiru always assumed that her dreams about the sea were due to her position as Sailor Neptune, and this was true to a degree. However, there was more to it than that. Indeed, she was remembering her early years long ago, before she was found by and placed in an orphanage for her current parents to adopt.

In those dreams she was remembering the time when she had been the firstborn princess of the Makai seas. I child of Rikyu (sp?) of the merfolk and the queen of the nereids. She was remembering before an ambitious sahaugin tried to steal her away and only managed to toss her through a dimensional portal before being killed.

Her true form had long been locked, however, whether by her own power or another's was unknown as not even Michiru knew of this history.

Haruka's power was perhaps the most obvious of all the Senshi. The child of dragons of the Earth, she was anything but subtle even with her darkstalker nature sealed. Her father had been a li lung, a lion-formed dragon of the earth, the punisher of the wicked and the sender of earthquakes. And her mother had been a scheming, poison breathed black-scaled wyrm that crawled within the dark places of the world.

They had met in human form. They had conceived in human form. They remained in human form all through her gestation. And it was only after the eggs had been lain that the dragons realized the nature of their partner.

Her mother had been hoping for a minion to help in her schemes while her father had been hoping for a disciple to help in his tasks. The two dragons killed each other in their battle over the eggs. And in the aftermath of those deaths, only one egg survived.

It was found and passed along many sources until finally coming to an alchemist in the Earth realm. The alchemist found himself cheated, however, when cracking the egg open found no developing embryo but rather a fully developed blond-haired girl-child. In his disgust, and assuming that this was no dragon egg but rather a sylph egg, he abandoned the child who would one day become Sailor Neptune.

The unseelie fey found a great refuge in the Makai, and such were the parents of Hotaru Tomoe. The only senshi who's rebirth was engineered. The daughter of a banshee and a dark sidhe that would later come to Earth as Dr. Tomoe. And the rest of that was easily found history.

This was the history as rewritten within the timeline.
