One of the dull stones flared to life on the Manacle, turning a sort of yellow-gold.
Ranma looked at it briefly, then went back to cuddling with his marid. His Michiru. As they walked down the stairs from their lovemaking, there was an even more comfortable bond between them as tensions had dissolved.
Michiru felt Haruka's distant presence but was instead focussed entirely on this. Pleasing her Master. And what a Master he was. She traced out patterns of muscles on his back with her nails, feeling the afterglow of their exertions and basking in it.
The sea was, for the moment, perfectly at peace.
Haruka saw what she was wearing and that her figure had been enhanced. She knew what this meant. Instead of Ranma becoming her djinni slave and thereby freeing Michiru, she was now Ranma's.
Worse, she could feel the amount of love Michiru had for Ranma. She could feel the genuine affection Ranma had for his marid - someone who had been a friend for some time now. And now was also his lover.
The amount of love and devotion Michiru had for her Master was a great ocean. There had been a time when much of that had been directed between two lonely girls out to save humanity even if that duty meant sacrificing innocents. Their innocence had been among the first casualties in that war. Now, however, the whole thing was focussed on Ranma.
Haruka considered and experimented within the yellow boundaries of her world. It was better than drowning herself in that ocean or getting depressed, and somehow she knew that until she was summoned - she could not leave this prison.
The inside of the gem was perhaps two kilometers in all directions. She could easily use her powers within the gem itself to fashion any sort of building, change her clothing, and even alter her appearance. She got the impression that if she wasn't careful, changes to her form or clothing would revert back to normal when her attention was elsewhere or if she fell asleep.
While she experimented, she determined her new powers were of sky and wind. She could stir things with a gentle breeze or build that breeze into a terrible storm. She could still the air so that silence reigned, or bring distant voices to her ear. All of the creatures who rode the wind could speak to her, though mostly they didn't have much to say.
Out in the real world, she knew her powers were at the beck and call of her Master.
Haruka sat on the minnaret of the building she'd fashioned of her ideas on what a genie palace should look like.

Haruka knew what that meant. She was being summoned. More, she could tell that Michiru had determined that the gem's color changing meant that a new genie was within the prison.
She only had a moment to decide how to deal with this, and decided that:
