What made it worse was that she had now seen the results of their affection for each other. When she and Michiru had been together, they had shared such feelings, but there had always been the knowledge that they might have to sacrifice each other for the common good, such as had been the case when the Grail had first been revealed. Yet, that was not the situation with Ranma. He might balk at expressing his feelings, but they did not waver. If faced with such a challenge as she had been, he would have fought until the bitter end.
And so this was to be her punishment. She would be so close to Michiru, but never able to regain the heart of the one she cared so much for. Her lot would be to watch her former partner be with someone else, and never be able to do anything about it. Plus she couldn't even blame her for liking him.
So, as she stood in yellow-gold halter top and pants, she said formally, "You summoned me, Master?"
Michiru's hand went up to her mouth. "Haruka?"
The new djinni answered with a silent nod.
"H...how..."
A muscle worked in Haruka's throat as she choked out an answer. "I... found this store with this... Wizard... and he... gave me this thing. I tried it out... and..." She gestured at herself with one hand.
Ranma frowned as he took in his new djinni. "Ya mean ya accidently did this?"
"Yes."
"Oh no..," Michiru whispered. Her former partner looked completely controlled, but she could see that she was holding it in. A glance towards her Master revealed that he:
