Her discriminating gaze noted several sets of still intact control runes (operating everything from the recessed overhead lighting to the currently locked security doors leading deeper into the complex), yet she was stymied by the fact that the magical controls could only be activated by a combination of human hands and a human voice speaking the tongue of the long fallen kingdom. At the moment Ranma was the only member of the menagerie capable of doing so, but even if Setsuna could manage to scratch out a message upon a dusty surface it was simply too dark for his (currently her) human eyes to read.
A stray thought of leading Ranma outside and writing a message in the dirt out there was quickly discarded when she realized that there was no guarantee that the hidden door in the entry cave, the locking enchantment obviously erratic after all these millennia, would re-admit them afterwards; and may wind up trapping any senshi who remained inside the complex until they starved to death in their animal forms, unable to operate the mystic switches.
Leaving her gaze to fall upon the cheerful redhead who, as a darkhaired boy, had become so central to the reincarnated senshi's lives, Setsuna realized that whatever course of action she decided upon it was obvious that Ranma would be the key to getting it to work.
After careful consideration Setsuna decides:
