Wait a minute...Ranma's cursed form?!?
A shocked doubletake confirmed the presence of a currently topless and DEFINITELY female redhead petting Ami's cat form. A moment's rapid thought confirmed that Ranma had changed gender at about the same time that the senshi had been sprayed by that hot spring. She hadn't though much of it at the time, as they had all become somewhat used to the frequent random changes over the last few days, but Ranma's current form meant that she'd been exposed to COLD water.
A few strong yet measured wing beats rocketed Setsuna back down the tunnel to the steaming water seepage. Perching on a stalagmite she scanned the nearby cavern floor and screeched in triumph as she noted the wet footprints leading from the puddle which Ranma had obviously slogged through. Moments later she headed back to the armory, passed a surprised fox (Michiru, who'd rushed to investigate Setsuna's unusually agitated behavior as she'd exited the room), firmly set her hand against a specific section of wall and boldly enunciated "[LIGHT]"!
The entire room instantly burst into brilliant daylight, the vaulted arches and filigreed stonework starkly revealed; as was Setsuna herself, as attested by Ranma nearly giving herself whiplash turning away from Setsuna after blinking the spots out of her eyes and noticing her wisest companion's current lack of attire.
Serendipitously, this meant that Ranma's gaze was focused on the far wall at the same time as that wall also caught Setsuna's eye. Beneath untold centuries of grime it was still possible to make out the almost entirely intact remains of a detailed mural. Complex interwoven lines of green, blue and gold formed an equilateral triangle around a stylized angel-winged figure wearing a silver tiara; a symbol which Setsuna knew had only been used by the fourth battalion of the Lunar Guard, an elite unit of warrior/druids renowned for their shapchanging magics (and the unique enchantments placed on their equipment so that it could change shape with them).
