Mihoshi nodded. "As long as it doesn't go against one of the rules."
The dorm manager and ronin student sat back and shook his head at the impossibility of the situation he found himself in. His life was so wierd that sometimes even he had problems beleiving it. Who would have thought that he would have been the manager of a girl's dorm, and such a strange one at that. at least he had one thing that stayed the same.
He petted Naru's head where it lay in his lap and wondered what it would have been like if he had never gotten his pet catgirl all those years ago. It had all been an innocent game between freinds, but her parents had liked what they saw when the two of them were together. So when her family moved away, she had stayed behind with him.
For the years following, he and his cat-girl had enjoyed each others company and a bond had grown between them that was too close to simply call it ''Owner' and 'Pet''.
Her love and affection had given him a bit more spine than he normally would have, and he had grown up never doubting her love. Not that he still didn't have problems getting into Tokyo University. He had simply slipped into a comfort zone and not really driven himself as well as he could.
"You know, I really don't need anything to wish for. I've got all that I want right now."
Naru gave a mew of agreement as Mihoshi gave him a frown. "But there has to be something."
