After shutting down for the night, making sure all the pets were being taken care of, it was time to put Phase II into operation.
A dwarf stuck his head out of the elevator shaft linking the dojo with the underground complex. "Where's that cheesy French cafe music coming from?"
Pierre waited for the dwarf to disappear back into his hidey hole and frowned. It sounded like the dwarves had taken this whole thing as a challenge. That could be bad. The dwarves were coarse, unruly, often smelly, uncultured brutes. Yet if you wanted something built and valued sturdy over art - they were the best in the business. The technomages and runecrafters among them would compete with their engineers and stonemasons and the results could be breathtaking and capable of lasting several millenia.
Sneaking within the complex revealed that there were three layers already constructed with the usual thick blocks of stone fitted together so well that you could not fit a credit card in between them. Ze new pets could be left here and zey now wore the collars that proclaimed them to be owned by Mister Saotome. Perfection! Morrigan and Felicity and Nuku and Mamoru the satyr/satyrette. When they woke, they would seek him out and wake him in a most pleasant manner.
The first layer held ones that he'd hoped to find, and the Sleep Powder he sprinkled on them kept them from raising the alarm. Then he just added some finishing touches that would develop as the pet slept.
The skunk girl was named Shampoo? Well, now her musky aphrodisiac spray was more pleasantly scented. As the changes completed themselves, the girl would also be able to spray a sleep inducing musk or a paralytic. In both cases it would also have aphrodisiac qualities, but that just made it more fun, yes?
The snake girl was named Kodachi? Such a strange name for the poor dear. Ah, but she would learn to love the way her bite now could pump a powerful hypnotic into a victim. Was it not said that the snake could paralyze its prey with its stare? Well now ze petit snake girl could do the very same, and by using the venom could easily convince intruders to take a quick nap within her coils.
What was this? Off by herself in a room was ze angel? But this Hotaru girl was also ze angel, was she not? Pierre took out a spare collar. Kasumi was her name? Well, she would be a fine pet. Ze programming in her sleep would take ze care of this and add ze healing talents.
Ah, the little ones. A pixie and two hamsters. They did not quite fit, but how much could he do with this as raw material?
Ze bunnygirl named Ukyo? Such a common sort. Give to her the ability to teleport and she would be much more useful, yes?
As for ze puppygirl, she was such a friendly useful sort. Akane? Red was ze color of blood but also of love and passion, yes? So what she needed to have was something related to that? But of course. Increase her ability to track by scent. She had such a cute muzzle, why not make it functional?
Zis catgirl, she seemed the sneaky sort. Why not work with that? Now she would be ze very sneaky catgirl.
Ah, zis was nice? The boy had such nice pets.
