She was engaged, and to a normal human no less. Some martial artist by the name of Ranma Saotome. How that could happen she had trouble understanding. not that she couldn't on an intellectual level, but more because of an emotional one. It had been only recently that Ashram had died, or so it seemed.
He had been her all, and now he was gone, leaving her alone and drifting. It hadn't been planned, but then such things never were. She only knew that she had been left without him in her life.
If only that crazy man hadn't had a knife. Then maybe Ashram could have avoided getting stabbed while he and his rival in the force had tried to save that girl. And it would have been him with her instead of some boy she didn't really know.
Perhaps she should go along with Saotome-san's arrangement. At least with that she'd have something to pass the time. All she had to do was to give up and just let someone else deal with it. But Ashram would have never given up. He would have kept fighting no matter what.
So would she. She'd find her own way, and deal with it. If she was alone, then so what? It might be better that way. She'd met this 'Ranma' but she wasn't holding much hope of anything coming from the situation.
With her mind made up, she put the paper some place safe, and got ready. It wouldn't be right if she didn't meet her 'fiance' properly after all. And as she did so,:
