Seeing a book of physics Shinji decided that he was just cut a break with his homework. Buying it and walking back to his apartment he cracked it open and couldn't put it down or look away. Little did he know that the book was projecting a transparent beam into his forehead that was increasing his mental abilities to super genius levels and his eyes were wide at how he could understand it all despite it being so advanced Ritsuko would shit a brick at reading these theories and formulas.
Later that night.
"You open it." Misato said nervously.
"No way you open it." Asuka countered as more welding sounds erupted from under Shinji's door as well as a strobe of white light erupted from underneath.
They settled with a quick round of rock paper scissors with Asuka loosing. "Crap." she swore. "Okay wimp what the hell..." Asuka started but her head of steam died down.
"What the hell?" Misato asked peering around the corner.
"WELCOME TO MY LAB." Shinji hollered somewhere in the distance.
"What the hell is this place Baka!?" Asuka demanded scared, furious and amazed.
"I've found myself in possession of a great deal of knowledge out of the blue so I decided to put things to the test and begin the process of permanently eliminating the ANGELS." he said as he took an arc welder to a very, very, very large gun. "This my SWAC! Shinji's Wave Arc Cannon! It can punch a crater in Mercury from Australia! Imagine what it'll do at close range!!" he announced with excitement.
"...got anything for me?" Asuka asked breaking the tension as Shinji laughed and Misato shot her a look. Then shot Shinji one when he threw down a futuristic gun.
"That's the SPAG! Shinji's Plasma Actuation Gun!" He announced. "Sniper blasts, Scatter blasts, Burning Sprays and Plasma Grenades in five settings! Hot, Toasty, Medium Rare, Well-done, and Extra Crispy!" he announced and Asuka's eyes went wide and she giggled. "Keep it I'm working on a new model anyways!" he shouted as he finished the welding.
"There we are! Now I just need to get my hands on Unit One so I can upgrade it!" he said jumping down and slowing before hitting the floor so he landed lightly.
"Did I have too much beer?" Misato asked with a groan.
"Hmm, well if you did tell me and I'll zap you with my Dry gun. Guaranteed to bring you from plastered to sober in point twenty one seconds!" he announced
