"In another world, another time," the Wizard said, his voice getting a curious storytelling singsong tone to it, "a goddess named Bastet discovered that her name and ideals were being forgotten. She herself was being forgotten and lost to time. So she looked for ways that she could reintroduce her name and strengthen her influence on the world once again. In a purely fictional place known as Japan she discovered the concept of the cute, perky, catgirl - particularly the busty bighearted defender of justice and the right to cuddle catgirl. Therefore she created the Statuette Of The Holy Catgirl."
Shinji nearly dropped the statuette as it changed in his hands. One moment the catgirl was wearing a high school seifuku, the next a maid outfit. Even as he watched the catgirl was now wearing paladin armor and carrying a sword?! "What the?!" Had the statue just winked at him before changing into a White Mage Catgirl?!
"Don't worry, it can't transform guys into catgirls," the Wizard reassured Shinji. Which he personally felt was a pity but that just might make watching Shinji all the more interesting. "What it actually does is:
