Ranma rose up, climbed out of the "tub," as the ladies called it, and collected his things. Carefully slipping into his disguise, he hefted his backpack onto his shoulder, then slipped out the door.
A few hours later, Ranma had set up camp outside of town. He leaned back onto a tree, "What am I going to do now?"
Back at the inn, the ladies noticed something was missing. Unfortunately, it was after the mess was made...
"Good going Meatball-Head," Rei commented, "you're making a mess of things when the manager isn't here."
With a slight smile, Ami added, "Well, at least he's gone."
Thats when Haruka walked back into the room, "We have a problem".
Minako was the first to speak up, "The Unmasked-Man is married?!!?"
The rest of the sometimes-senshi just moaned at this.
"I'm afraid that you've succeeded," Haruka stated flatly. Then for effect, she added, "I wonder where everyone is going to move to?"
Needless to say, panic struck the Bishojo house in less time than it takes an uncute tomboy to mallet someone.
"Waaaah!" "You guys were mean to him." "It's not *my* fault"
Ami added an air of calmness to it all, "Well, we could just go and find him."
"Yippie! We'll go bring him back," Usagi's emotionally shifted in a 180 degree turn.
"He took his stuff," commented Haruka.
Girls ran back and forth accross the building, collecting clothes, flashlights, and anything to help them with their search for the missing manager.
Downstairs, and out of breath, the girls were ready for the search, with Haruka leading the way. As Haruka reached for the door, however, a knock was heard on the other side of it.
Opening the door, they saw a well dressed girl with short brown hair, who appeared to be about their age. Before any of them could greet the girl, she spoke, "Where is Saotome?"
"We don't know, we're going to look for him," Haruka responded, "and you are?"
"Tendo, Nabiki," the girl replied with a neutral voice, "and how do you 'lose' a world class martial artist?"
"I don't know who you're talking about young lady," Haruka replied in kind, "Ranma is a geeky letcher in glasses."
At that statement, Nabiki's neutral stare transformed into a cocky grin, "If you say so. I'm an expert at Ranma-101, so if you will allow me.."
When Ranma heard footsteps, he ducked inside his tent to throw on his oversized shirt and glasses. Upon sticking his head out of the tent he was greeted with...
"Ranma, Ranma, Ranma. Really, running out on your own like that, you should know better," it was Nabiki.
With eyes open wide, Ranma peered around the campsite. Finding nothing, he turned to Nabiki, "You're alone?"
"Of coarse I'm alone," Nabiki smirked, "I sent your new little fan-club on a wild goose chase."
"They ain't my fan club," Ranma said with a hair of spite in his voice.
Ranma winced, as Nabiki reached out turning his head to the side, "Ranma, you get into a fight with Ryoga... Oh. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk."
"C'mon," Ranma began, "I just have to get away from all the craziness, but when I came here the only difference was who." Then, he looked at the ground, "I guess I have more than one curse, ne?"
"Well, Ranma," Nabiki interjected while patting her now suddenly well off former house-mate, "It looks like the manager of the Bishojo House needs an administrative assistant."
"Whaaa..?"
"Saotome, you need academic help, someone to keep those girls off of you, and all from someone where your line of credit is good. Here's what I propose..."
