[Episode 2840] [Episode 2840]“WHAT!!?” yelled Shampoo, Ranma and Saturn. Genma would have joined them but, as he was being a panda with a mouth stuffed full of food, all he managed to get out was “gwahff?”
“I said: because young Ranma is really an outsider male, now Shampoo has to marry her,” Cologne repeated happily. A skilled young martial artist with a powerful djinnya would make such an excellent addition to the village. “It is an age old Joketsuzoku law. (Go ahead and give her the Kiss of Marriage, Shampoo.)”
Genma tried to protest, but made even less sense than ussual and nearly chocked himself in the protest.
“(Shampoo is too young to get married,)” the pretty young amazon protested and eyed the little red haired girl warrily. “and girls shouldn't kiss other girls like that!”
“(Well, you can always fall back on Mousse ...)” Cologne bated.
“Arien!!” Shampoo yelled desperately and threw herself at Ranma to deliver a slobbery Kiss of Marriage.
“Whafff?” Ranma exclaimed before being smooched. “Mmmm...” she murmured, then pulled away, whiped her mouth and sputtered, “I mean, gerorrfme! ee-yew! Girl germs!”
There were several awes and mutters of “(Isn't that sweet?)” from the witnessing Joketsuzoku matrons and several titters and snide remarks came from Shampoo's peers in age. Also a muttered “Ranma you jerk,” from Saturn.
Saturn's purple eyes narrowed darkly as she considered the latest turn of events. She didn't like it, not at all. However, unless her master protested seriously, there was little she could do about the situation. “They are too young to get married, you know,” she pointed out helpfully.
Genma grunted his agreement, then took anouther bite of pie. However wasn't in any rush as he had years in which to make the silly women forget about the deal. It wasn't as if the girl would chase his son to the ends of the Earth or anything, was it? Besides, they put on a nice banquet.
“That's no problem,” Cologne chortled contentedly. “After you get back from Jusenkyo ...”
