Ranma Millenium: Knights & Senshi [Episode 28448]

by Kestral

Setsuna winced as she read further.

Ranma had utilized resources and scientists and pulled together what he could into a New Earth Kingdom. In honor of his Queen, he had finally come up with a form of Senshi empowerment, but had NOT specified women as the stronger sex. Apparently he hadn't completely overcome the culture of his heritage, but he hadn't completely accepted Serenity's matriarchy as being superior either.

Their power was less than a Senshi but still considerable - especially in those ancient times. Trained by Ranma in martial arts, and given a further powerup, the New Earth Kingdom had been a force to be reckoned with until long after his "death" and return to the moon.

Worse, Ranma had apparently seen an anime called "Legend Of Heavenly Sphere Shurato" because his Celestials had their power focuses in a sort of magical "swiss army knife" called a shakti.

The shakti ran off the chi of the wielder, stored in a battery of sorts within it. You could use it in a "vehicle mode" to fly from place to place as if you were surfing. In "rest mode" the item recharged and was worn as a bracer. In "weapon mode" its powers could be fully unleashed.

Soldier Gender Portfolio
Aries - Force
Taurus M Strength
Gemini F Duality
Cancer - Defense
Leo M Animals
Virgo F Purity
Libra M Gravity
Scorpio F Flame
Sagittarius - Air
Capricorn M Magnetism
Aquarius F Water
Pisces - Illusion
Some could be of either gender. Some could only be wielded by one gender or the other. Each would only find one wielder in each generation and there was a terrible cost for bonding with one. If you died while wielding the weapon, your spirit would be trapped within the weapon - to advise and assist the next wielder.

When the New Earth Kingdom had failed and the descendents of Ranma had fallen to squabbling and the advisors had all turned their backs on the glory of the previous administration, the Celestials had all simply rode off. They went on to become legends elsewhere and pass their shakti on to their own next generation.

Many had been lost to the ages. Only three were where they were known. Sagittarius had been in Japan until Tokugawa had proclaimed it a Western artifact and it had been thrown into the sea. Capricorn had been lost in an earthquake in Italy in the 1400s. Pisces lost to tomb robbers in Egypt and so on. Leo, however, was one of the royal treasures of England. Aquarius was in the Smithsonian in the United States. Taurus was supposedly in the hands of the United Nations Historical Society researching the ancient kingdom.

At least that had been the case.

According to the papers Setsuna was seeing delivered that had all changed three months previously when the items had flared to life and vanished.

Followed by the items choosing new owners and the twelve Celestials stepping forward shortly thereafter.

Twelve Celestials (or Knights if you prefer) and five Senshi that hadn't been around the last time.

Ranma hadn't shown much imagination with the five Senshi. Martial Arts Senshi. Setsuna guessed that some things just had to remain constant.

Sailor Dragon (Water) in Taiwan. Sailor Iron Fist (Spirit) in Tibet. Sailor Phoenix (Fire) in the Great Britain. Sailor Earth (stone) in the United States. Sailor Eagle (Air) in Norway.

The Celestials had been active for three months. Sailor Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus - active a little over fourteen months in Tokyo. The five others had been active for seven months.

Setsuna was roused from her reading when:
