Usagi had decided to be a princess. She'd added little pixie wings but that was about it, and she'd used her disguise pen for her costume.
Mamoru had been ready to go as a clown, but on Usagi's suggestion (read: insistence) he'd changed to a Prince Charming sort of costume. (Ranma calling it a Prince Clueless costume was expected.)
