RanDread: Familiar? Maybe not... (LIME) [Episode 2870]

by C-QoC

Ranma finally noticed he wasn't being pursued through the corridors he had been running through. He assumed he had lost the girl he was sure was about to deliver some major feminine retribution. Therefore he had slowed to a walk when an old woman had stepped out in front of him.

"Excuse me, Young Man," the old woman said from within her cowl. Beside her stood an attractive female...er...looking person wearing a smug look. Ranma wasn't fooled. Nerima had made him very adept as spotting a person's true sex in spite of their appearance. This person was nearly as good at appearing female as Konatsu, but his aura gave him away.

"Yeah, what'cha want?" Ranma asked warily.

"Who are you?" the old woman asked.

"Er...I'm Ranma Saotome, of the Saotome School of Anything Goes Martial Arts," Ranma replied.

"I see," the old woman said. "I'm Magno Vivan, captian of this ship..."

"Ship?" Ranma interrupted. "We're on a ship? Where am I anyway?"

"You don't know where you are?" the crossdresser asked.

"Not a clue," Ranma admitted.

Before anything else could happen a female voice rang out.

"MISTER ALIEN!"

Everyone turned to the voice just in time to see Ranma tackled in an Amazon class glomp by someone totally unexpected.

"Oh, Mr. Alien, I've found you!" Barnett cooed, snuggling against Ranma.

"Holy...He's turned Barnett into Dita!" someone exclaimed as everyone nearby face-faulted painfully to the deck.

"Gah!" Ranma squeaked. "Get off!"

"I intend to," Barnett giggled, rubbing herself suggestively against the pigtailed boy.

Something about what had happened forced the young dread pilot too far outside her ability to cope. It was if a switch had been thrown inside her head, unleashing primal urges that were encoded into all human minds. Though the societies of both Majaer and Tarak had sought to eradicate these urges with extreme prejudice, it was something that couldn't be supplanted no matter what horror stories were told about the opposite sex.

Unlike Celtic who felt no such urges and was truly terrified of men, Barnett's whole campaign against the men aboard the Nirvana was based on fear of her self. She had felt drawn to the men and she had seen her fellow crewmembers succumbing to that draw. She felt it was only a matter of time before she too fell to the male influence and took steps to stop it.

The fact that this admittedly attractive young man had accidentally done to her what Jura had to work to do shattered her conditioning and allowed those basic human urges to come screaming to the fore. Of course, she then fixated on the boy that had inadvertently cast open the gates.

Unfortunately, Barnett only had one example of how to pursue a male. "Mr. Alien, would you like to come back to my quarters so I can make you a good home cooked meal?" Barnett asked, remembering how Hibiki enjoyed female cooking.

On the other hand, maybe there was something to be said for Dita's approach.

"Food?" Ranma said, the Saotome appetite instantly overriding all other concerns.

"Uh huh," Barnett purred.

"What are we waiting for?" Ranma demanded. "Let's go!"

"Okay, that was different," Magno commented to BC as they watched Barnett wrap herself about the pigtailed newcomer's arm and drag him off to her kitchen.
