Thus, she neither knew nor cared that, unlike most of the others in her Lot, she had not been returned to her own world but, through a slight bookkeeping anomoly, to one very close to it, where she was stored in a warehouse much like one that a certain martial artist had been malleted into back in her homeworld.
After what could have been an eterenity but was in fact only a couple of weeks, feeling and thought returned, the first feeling being joy at the initial thought of "I have been purchased."
Removing herself from the container, she allowed herself to be guided to stand a short distance away, next to another slave who stood proudly posed, naked and smiling. Even as Unit 14 adopted a similar position, she recognized the other slave as being from her Lot. The mental identification of "Nodaka" was quickly replaced with the more appropriate "Unit 8." Like herself, Unit 8 had been remade, molded, and perfected. If one did not know better, one would have thought the two slaves to be just a couple of years apart in age.
This mattered to neither as they silently stood and waited. Unit 14 could barely contain herself with anticipation of being presented to her Owner, and she knew Unit 8 felt the same.
A few moments later two figures approached the slaves. One was an official with the company but the other . . . At the site fo the other figure Unit 14 knew this ws her owner (but she'd never know this knowledge had been placed into her mind by the very process which had awoken her.
As they had been programmed, the two slaves bowed their heads, then prostrated themselves before their owner, awaiting any command they might be given.
The Owner closely observed the two slaves and then, with a big smile, turned to the company official and said "Excellent. They seem just as advertised in the catalog and will do perfectly. Thank you for a very pleasant transaction."
The official nodded acknowledgement, saying "I will leave you with your property. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require upgrades or wish to make a further purchase."
As the official walked off, the Owner, stood over the slaves, with an even bigger smile than before. "All right then, girls, we have a lot to do and a short time to do it. Arise and come with me."
The two slaves immediately complied, gracefully rising and flanking their new Owner, who in fact was . . . (This is my first ep here, I hope I wan't misleading with listing tone and content as I did)
