The young man looked over at the passenger side of his truck to glare at the large brown and yellow foot-and-a-half-long rat in the seat. "Yes, I mean you. Now let me finish!"
A large truck rumbled it's way across the dry earth. It was an old model truck that had seen a lot of modifications, the most recent of which was a pair of small tank-like treads in place of a lost rear axle. A heavy machinegun lay in the cargo bed, alongside a large reddish-black dog.
"As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted..." He cleared his throat again. "Some order must be made between mankind and the world's altered wildlife. That's where I come in... My name is Satoshi Tarji, but you can call me Ash. I'm... a Monster Master!"
The rat snorted in disgust.
"What, too over the top, 'Chu?" Ash asked. Chu's reaction was a five-volt shock. "OW! Why you little!..." Ash's yelling was interrupted by a beeping from his console. "uh-oh, looks like we're getting low on fuel." He looked ahead at the town ahead. "I hope they have some gas to spare..."
As the truck continued on, Ash worked on his sales pitch.

With his truck filled, Ash decided to put some fuel into himself, before he tried to make any more money. It's bad to work on an empty stomach, anyway. Luckily, this town also had a restaurant. Good thing, too. He was getting tired of bars.
Ash got a table and placed a rather large order. Then he leaned back and took in his surroundings.
That's when he saw her. She was sitting in a rather small cage. She looked a little like a cat-mutant, he wasn't sure. What he was sure about was that she was one of the most beautiful beings he had ever seen.
Calling the waiter over, he asked who she was.
"Oh that's the mayor's little pet." The waiter said. "He owns this place too. Calls her..."
