"Cool! You think we'll get to fight bad guys? Maybe stop a demon or two? Maybe we'll travel into the past!" Jade babbled on excitedly
"Don’t be silly Jade. That not type of magic Kagome have trouble with." chided Uncle
"Oh? Then what sort?" Jackie asked curiously.
"Err...well.... recently I've been getting reports from my grand uncle that Kagome has been getting sick a lot lately... Arthritis, the Runs, Lou Gehrigs... Yet when I do get a letter from her, she says she's fine." Tohru answered nervously, looking worried. "Sensei thinks that my cousin may have been put under a curse. There is a spell that makes people suffer such diseases for a day and then switch to another one. Eventually it can kill the subject!"
Uncle nodded solemnly. "Aiyah, fortunately Uncle knows counter spell! IT will take a few days, but Uncle can cure Tohru's cousin."
Jackie sighed in relief. Finally a magic situation that won't involve him fighting for his life, dealing with demons, or saving the world.

"That’s good Uncle, but if you have it all in hand why do you need me and Jade?"
"Umm actually.... I asked... could we borrow the horse and dog talismans? So my poor cousin won't suffer while Sensei cures her?" Tohru asked
Jade butted in before Jackie could even respond. "Of course Tohru! Anything to help out family! Right Jackie?"
Jackie sighed and looked at his uncle, who nodded. "Alright.”
Jackie shook his head at his niece’s exuberance over his declaration of consent. Well at least this time there wouldn't be any fighting.
A rumble of Thunder was heard in the background.

Meanwhile high over the Pacific
Kagome sighed looking out the window.
"Thinking about someone? Perhaps a boyfriend you left behind?" The Woman next to her asked
"He's not my boyfriend!" Kagome snapped angrily at the woman, what did she say her name was? Oh yeah Viper, what kind of name was that?
Viper held up her hands defensively. "Okay okay.... I'll leave you to your thoughts."
She turned her head and chuckled, such an amusing young girl. A pity she would only see her on this flight. Oh well she'd have enough fun when she got to SF. Oh yes she could drop in and bug Jackie... maybe get into a match. See his slender muscular form competing against her own and... Viper stopped, a blush crossing her cheek and turned away, noting the girl Kagome was once again staring out the window. Heh she must have it bad. Now if only Viper could convince a certain archeologist the same thing.
Kagome huffed in silence, what did she know? She wasn't worried abut Inu-yasha... of course not. Besides it was his own fault. If he let her come home more often, she wouldn't have been railroaded into the 3 month stay with her cousin in America. Besides it’s not like she couldn't take a few months off. After all they had managed to corner Naraku again, and she had once more destroyed most of his body. It would take him quite some time to rebuild a new one. More importantly she had gotten quite a few of the Shikon shards in the process.
Kagome quietly gripped the shards around her neck as she continued her thought process. With the shards in hand and no clue as to where the others may lie, she was pretty confident in herself. After all Naraku couldn't reassemble the Jewel of the four soul’s wihout her shards right? Even if he had his whole body, his own quest would be stymied until she returned. That only left Kikyo..... Kikuyu who ... who...
"Grr...That Kikyo better stay away from him..."
Viper smirked. "Is that so?"
Kagome stopped and blushed. Had she said that out loud?

Unbeknownst to Kagome, the source of her worries was a lot closer than she thought.
"Achoo!" Inu-yasha sneezed, shifting his body amongst the luggage where he lay. "Stupid Wench... going off on her own will she? I'll show her! We still have Shards to find!"
A stuffed bear bounced squarely off the Half-demon's head. A large open suitcase shifted, and emerging from a pile of jackets, wrapped in a blanket a certain young kitsune glared at him. "Shut up will ya! Whose dumb idea was it to stay down here anyways? It’s cold! My ears hurt... and you’re yapping away."
Inu-yasha glared at the Shippo, the young kitsune pup, who he considered like the younger brother he never had. Although he wouldn’t admit that, even under torture from Naraku. "AH quit your whining! Who asked you to come along anyways?"
"But I wanted to see Kagome's world....." Shippo whined, and then his voice turned quieter. "Besides I would miss her to much if she was gone that long."
Shippo pouted, once again thinking about the adopted big sister/mother figure he found in Kagome. Inu-yasha sighed.
"Feh... whatever, go back to sleep" Grumbling he took his own advice curling up to soem pillows they had found in still another suitcase.
'Stupid girl... making me worry. Why can't she stay in the past where I can protect her! Making me chase after her. Well at least she had the common sense to bring her Bow and arrows. Still why’d she have to go. Why’d she have to leave me? Stupid girl... why does she make me feel so empty when she's gone? Why’d she have to go to this San Francisco and not tell me... doesn’t she know how that hurts... hmph'
Turning his head to the side he closed his eyes, hoping that the oblivion of sleep will help him avoid the disturbing path his thoughts were taking him.
And the plane flew on into the night.
Gee it looks like a lot of ppl are complaining about their luggage being opened and mishandled. Good thing None of it was Kagome's!
Attack the Chan's when they go back to Uncle's shop... use the Kahn to keep Uncle to busy to cast his Chi-spells and kill the lot of them in one fell swoop!
A real pity he doesn't know about Kagome's mad purifying arrow skillz...or especially about the extremely pissed off half-demon and kitsune who are likely to show up if she's attacked!
You know I think Kagome and Inu-yasha just found something a bit more pressing than the Shikon shards
Oh dear Shippo meets Jade... Be afraid... be VERY afraid
"One more thing..." WHAP! "Stop useing generic something else's!
