In the Dark Dimension, also known as the Dimension without number, reigned an alien despot who possessed unparalleled mystical might. His name was whispered in hushed tones for fear of its power, such was the reputation of... the Dread Dormammu !
The main particularity of the Dark Dimension was that it was flooded with magical energy and creating gates to other dimensions was an easy task there. During its long history, the Dark Dimension's rulers had used this to launch successfull invasions of other planes. Each defeated world joined the numerous islands of reality orbiting the center of power of the Dark Dimension : the castle of its Sorcerer Supreme. And none had expanded the Realm more than Dormammu.
It was inevitable that all the flares of mystical power coming from the paradox storm and Usagi using the Ginzuishou several times would attract his attention. He scried for information, using his considerable mystical prowess and the many items of power in his possession, and smiled. This world's defenders were pathetic techno-magical automatons bound to a mere boy who knew nothing about sorcery. Surely this 'Earth' was ripe for conquest by the Dread Dormammu !
This Ginzuishou was grabbing his interest the most. Even if it was damaged, the potential uses he could put this artifact to were mind-boggling, especially the conversion into raw magical energy of the lifeforce of slain enemies. Surely, such an item was not worthy of this blonde ditz, only the Dread Dormammu deserved to wield such power !
The monarch of the Dark Dimension sat back on his throne and pondered. He couldn't leave or the barrier keeping the Mindless Ones in check would cease to be, only his power kept it active. He didn't dare entrust this task to someone else because the only other person to be capable of doing it was his sister.
Umar the relentless... Sure, she may bow to his superior power for now but her ambition was on par with his own. Who knew what she could do here while he was busy conquering the Earth ?
Clea ? His niece was a powerful sorceress in her own right but she was unreliable as well, she had morals, of all things. And she was Umar's daughter.
