Ranma nodded his head as he got into a fighting stance. Turning his head a bit he could see Kiyone, Brianna, and Asrial were readying firearms. The past few days had been interesting with attacks, Tamers, and Salusian Drones. Yup, Buckshiny seemed to have it all.
"Okay, whoever's out there, just show yourself!" Ranma called out into the forest.
"We don't want to fight, but we will defend ourselves if necesarry!" Asrial called out as well.
"May I also warn you that if you try to attack, you will be harassing a member of the Buckshiny Police Department." Kiyone said as she held her gun pointed towards the bushes that Sheila seemed to be concetrating her attention on. "Now come out of those bushes, nice and slowly!"
"Actually, you're not officially a member of the OfficerJenny Division, of the BPD anymore, now that you've been given to Ranma, a civillian." Came a new female voice.
Kiyone blushed. "True... But I still try to uphold the law, and can help other ploice forces as I travel!" The OficerJenny then blinked. "Hey! That is not the point! Just get your butt out here!"
"All right, all right, keep your skirt on..." Came the voice. Ranma, Asrial, and the three pokegirls watched as a strange-looking woman stepped out. She had yellowish skin, bright pink hair that was just bordering on being red, triangles on her cheeks and forehead, and a series of intricately designed robes, that were done up almost as a trenchcoat.
Asrial blinked. "What the heck is that?"
"Possibly a Megami, considering the marks on her face..." Sheila answered. Turning to the others, she asked, "What do you think, Kiyone?"
Kiyone just stared at the woman. "P, Professor Washu!?"
The woman known as Washu smiled. "Yes. Good to see you again, Officer Muffbiki."
Ranma got out of his fighting stance. "Excuse me, but who are you?"
Washu smiled, "Well, I am Professor Washu Hakuboob! The greatest scientific genius in the pokeverse!!!" Fireworks started going off around her. Then after some time she muttered, "Right after Sukebe anyway..."
Ranma and Asrial blinked. "Oooooooooookay..." Both said simultaneously.
Brianna blinked. She knew of Washu, since she was made from Gina and Gina was a fan of some of the more famous Pokewomon Researchers. "Oh my God, are you THE Washu Hakuboob of the Shrine Gym, where they specialize in Cabbit Pokegirls!?"
Washu smirked. "The same."
The group began to calm down, seeing that Washu would not be a threat. "So, Ms. Hakuboob," Asrial began, "If I may ask, what brings you out here?"
"Not to mention, what the heck are you?" Ranma added. He had taken out his PokeDex and pointed it at her. Nothing happened. Literally. Not even to tell him if she
Asrial looked at Ranma and shook her head, giving Ranma a look that told him that was a somewhat rude thing to ask. "Don't mind him. He's just curious as to what you are."
Washu nodded her head. "Don't worry. No offense taken. As for myself, I guess you can think of me as a Pseudo-pokegirl. Lab accident with Evolution Stone Research sent me into Threshold but stopped half-way. I'm kind of a cross between an A-bra, a Megami, and a human woman."
Smiling Washu contined. "As for why I'm here," she spoke as she walked over to Ranma, "Is you..."
Ranma binked. "Me?"
Asrial became defensive and stood by Ranma. "What do you want with Ranma?"
After a moment, Washu spoke. "Tell me, have either of you heard of the 'Megami Prophesies'?"
Blinking his eyes, Ranma repeated, "Megami Prophesies?"
"No we have not," Asrial answered, "What are the Megami Prophesies?"
Coughing ionto her hand, Brianna answered. "From what my understanding on that subject is, is that the Megami Prophesies were just noted as being a book of scripts that predict events that have and will occur." Then after a moment, Brianna said, "Though otherwise, not much else is known.
Washu nodded her head. "Yes. Only known in full by a mysterious set of Megami, (including myself) the Prophesies are not even a rumor as far as the bulk of humanity or Pokegirls are concerned. A Megami named Cassandra developed these in fractured prose. As my friend from the Indigo League, Professor Mahogony Stroaks put it, 'Good prophet, lousy poet'. Eventually it pointed to a long and difficult struggle, through a war fought in the hearts and souls of men as opposed to anything like a military struggle. Eventually there would be a bard who would help to pave the way for the Prophesied One. The Prophesied One would be a warrior from both within and without, someone of humble origins who had known strife, but would carry the banner and rally emotions to the cause of parity. Other clues originally had this pinned tentatively as the young Tamer Ash Sexum. This has recently come into dispute."
Ranma blinked. "So what does that got to do with me?"
"I believe you're going to play a major part to our history. Allow me to read a scripture."
"Uh... Okay..." Ranma said, a bit confused.
Washu seemingly pulled out a large book from out of nowhere and began to read.
There will be a pure-human boy
That will see Pokegirls not as toys
He will kill himself to make a place
Where Pokegirls will know true grace
He will have a heart of gold
Which fills him with courage to be bold
His strength is equal to the Legendaries
He will take on all challenges and adversaries
It is he that shall bring a new era of peace
Ew, my dress has a stain of grease!
Asrial, Ranma, and the Pokegirls stared at Washu.
"Like Professor Stroaks said, Cassandra was a great prophet, but a lousy poet!" Washu said. "Anyway, Ranma. I believe it is you that this poem is pointing to."
Ranma started to sweat. "What makes you say that?"
Washu narrows her eyes. "I know Ranma Sextome. You are NOT him. And you treat Pokegirls as your equals, if not your betters."
Asrial sighed. "You think Ranma is going to being peace?
Nodding her head, Washu said, "Either that, or I totally have the wrong person. Well, either way, I'm sticking with you guys, to see if I'm right or not!"
Ranma blinked. "But you just can't..."
Washu held up a finger. "I'm part Megami. Megami choose their own Tamers. I choose you."
Ranma grumbled. At least he might not have to tame here. She's not exactly a real Pokegirl.
