Shinji's eyes fluttered open and he immediately felt a weight on his chest upon waking. One look and he knew the source of that feeling : a napping and almost naked catgirl Asuka who was happily cuddling him in her sleep. Once again, his first reaction was panic.
Oh, my god ! I wasn't dreaming ! She isn't human anymore and it's my fault ! I fucked her and I liked it ! She's gonna kill me ! I want to run away !
But looking at her like this, her face free of the usual anger or burdens of her life, a part of him couldn't help but think that she was happier like this. He tentatively used his right hand to pet her and she moved slightly, purring in delight. Maybe it would work out after all...
Or not... Could she still pilot her EVA like this ? What would people say when seeing a real catgirl ? Somehow, he could picture her meowing pitifully in a cage while scientists were preparing to dissect her. He had to do something !
Shinji Ikari did not show spine often but when someone he cared about is in danger, he could be almost as scary as his father in his resolve. He managed to slowly extract himself from his bed and Asuka without disturbing her too much. Apparently, their little kitchen encounter had exhausted her. He wasn't that fresh himself, come to think of it. He needed a good shower to clear the smell of seat and sex, and new clothes too.
Fortunately for him, Misato and Ritsuko had gone to work, leaving him alone for the time being. He and Asuka were already late for school so he decided to skip the entire day. He had research to do.
After his shower and clothes change, he sat in the kitchen, the Hentainomicon open, looking for some spell or potion to help him.
