Slaves Unl.: Keeping Ranma busy [Episode 30436]

by Ranma-mite

It would have been the easiest, most efficient, and profitable way to deal with the potential threat of Ranma Saotome. Turn him permanently into a girl, send her through a mindwipe and retraining, and then sell her as a martial artist/maid/bodyguard.

Quisling regretted that this was not an option. He had other plans, however.

"So ya got others of these guys ripping ya off?" Ranma asked, looking over the pictures.

"Yes, unfortunately. These lizards are most unpleasant fellows, attacking planets, shooting up the place, and eating people's eyeballs. Nasty sort." Quisling didn't have to fake a shudder. The lizards had much less in the way of technology, their magic was simply pathetic, but they had developed some hit and run tactics that were quite effective. "We believe they may be heading here."

Ranma blanched. Eyeball eating lizards. Yech.

"We've got a potential mission for you, if you're up to it," Quisling informed the martial artist. "They have sensors which could detect normal explosives or electronics, but if you could destroy their central 'slider' generation device it would keep them bottled up until they could repair it."

Ranma looked over the picture. Metal and plastic in a ring. Looked like it might take a little oomph but he could do it.

"We will, of course, pay you quite well for this in addition to what you are being paid for research," Quisling suggested, though he knew from the psych profile that money wouldn't intrigue the boy. "We have access to something that might assist you in your endeavors in fixing that 'cat fist' problem we were told about."

Ranma got a gleam in his eyes at that. He'd hate to lose the catfist but then again, to not have that nastiness over his head.

"I am here," said the Wizard.

The Clerk nodded to him and took his own seat. "My manager told me to come and represent Furries 4 U."

"..." The figure in darkness at the far end of the table seemed to nod. That nobody wanted to associate with him was hardly surprising.

The other owners of various magic stores had all gathered, and more.

"Crystal Tokyo, Human Instrumentality, or converted to pleasure girls on the open intradimensional market," said Uriel of the 'New Destinies Cafe'. "I don't find these three acceptable alternatives."

"We could always move to other timelines," the Spells R Us Wizard reminded the group. "The easiest method."

"Always running off," said the Mayor of Pungo, Virginia - a puissant collection of wizards, warlocks, witches and enchanters who had basically decided the rest of the world was idiots and they'd just go off by themselves. "It lacks a certain something."

"Well then, any other suggestions?" asked the Wizard.
