Of course, there was a flaw with the Time Gate, and she knew it. It only showed what it was asked to show. She must not have asked the right questions since these changes had occured.
And now they had two wars to fight.
She had been pretty confident of their ability to handle Claudius between all the new allies and themselves. Now they had to handle Claudius and the wererats, for they would certainly not leave Ami alone.
"We'll be over as soon as we can," Gina said over Minako's shoulder. "The light gate needs to be recharged and Dad's over there, but at least we got Ace on hand..."
"Thank you," Ami said. And that's when Jetta stormed in, followed by the two other residents of the temple.
"What's going on?" Jetta demanded. "I smell blood...and...oh..." her eyes fell on the dead wererat and she stopped. "Sorry."
"You know this wolf, granddaugther?" her grandfather asked. He also turned his eyes toward the dead rat.
"Yes, gramps," Rei said. "She's welcome, and could hang around too? We need all the help we can get."
Setsuna breathed a sigh of relief. They still far surpassed the opposition it seemed. But then, if Gothwrain were Iceron...or even one of the first wererats...it meant he predated the Silver Millenium. That would, indeed, be a terrible enemy.
