The plotline was fairly familiar. Magical prince (whose magic seemed to consist of a couple of special manuevers and maybe access to a magical spring or something) decides he wants to kidnap Akane. Takes her back to his kingdom to marry her. Been there, done that.
Yet that was not the case here for in this case it was a magical princess, and sure as shooting, she was out to kidnap a certain boy for much naughtiness and possibly a royal wedding.
Ranma sneezed, but that was about all the warning he got on the way to school.
Also breaking from tradition, this was going to take place at Furinkan, where people would comment on the lengths Ranma Saotome would go to in avoiding a math test.
